WET! but...Not So Natural
I am very conflicted. On the one hand it is great slippery fun. Long lasting and easy. On the other hand, I want a little truth in advertizing. If I buy a 'natural' product, please don't put cancer-causing ingredients in it! All information about ingredients was researched at Environmental Working Group's cosmetic safety website SKINDEEP.

Pros
nice and slippery
Cons
not really natural
Ok, so I will admit right away that I am a health nut type. Organic this and that, all natural and whatnot. I guess I figure we unwillingly absorb so much pollution that there is no need to knowingly add more to our bodies. I know not everybody out there is like me, but once you get educated as to the effects of certain substances you can at least make an informed decision whether or not you want to put the substance in or on your body (which is a temple to some of us!)Knowledge truly is power.
On to the review already!
I was looking for a good natural lube that was liquidy and long lasting. I bought Wet Naturals because it said "natural" on it. I always fall for lies in advertizing. There actually is no law that regulates the term "Natural" just in case anyone was wondering. Everything on earth came from the earth somehow, therefore it is Natural- or so the FDA assumes. I saw the list of ingredients and shrugged my shoulders. "eh, whatever. I'll at least try it even though it doesn't sound all THAT natural" was my thought.
Well, I have to say I really do like the stuff. Wet Naturals is slick, it is slippery, it does the job for sure. I had to reapply on occasion, but not like some of the thick glop that is out there on the market. This stuff is fairly thin. It drips orpours out of the bottle more than oozing out like toothpaste. That being said- careful when sqeezing the bottle- it comes out fast! I did like the cap/dispenser. It is the kind that you press down on one side and the other side pops up. It can be used one-handed which is very convenient.
I had an hour and a half (!) solo session and added morelube four or five times. I consider that pretty good for a water based lube. Usually it dries out and gets sticky. There is NO STICKINESS with this stuff, which is why I'll give it major points. It dries eventually, but not like glue. More just a loss of slipperiness.
My only complaint as hinted in the beginning is Wet Naturals is in no way actually natural. It does contain aloe and has a few botanical extracts way down at the bottom of the list (which means the smallest quantity). However, besides water one of the main ingredients is PEG which stands for polyetheylene glycol. It is a stabilizer and humectant (which means it draws water) and is fairly non-toxic.
Hydroxyethylcellulose is a thickener also non-toxic.
Polysorbate-20 and Sodium benzoate are preservatives> Polysorbate-20 is considered safe by itself, but can be contaminated with some very toxic chemicals. Specifically ethylene oxide which is a major carcinogen (causes cancer. Diazolidinyl Urea is a preservative and a carcinogen as well. It releases formaldehyde when in a water-based solution (which Wet Naturals is)
Triethanolamine is NOT a carcinogen (thank God!) but it can cause allergies.
Those are not all the ingredients, but you get the picture. Cosmetics and body products like lube are pretty much alway loaded with some kinds of hazardous or semi-hazardous chemicals if they actually work. The REALLY natural lubes I have tried totally suck in the worst way.
I will grudgingly go back to using coconut oil since I don't need to worry about any latex (married means no condoms for me yay!, but if you are using condoms Wet Naturals is a decent compromise. Life is full of compromise and sometimes you have to take the good with the bad.
I just want you to know what you are dealing with- now you can make an INFORMED purchase.

Follow-up commentary
1 day after original review
I'll use up the bottle but won't be buying any more. When I buy natural, I want natural. The slickness is caused by all kinds of surfactants and crap. I'll take oil any day over the long list of ingredients that took me half an hour to look up.
