I got the Advanced Clit Pump with high hopes. I love spicing up solo play with extra sensation, and the one sensation I really found myself missing was, well... suction. So I took this lovely-looking toy home, slipped off my clothes, and found myself kind of underwhelmed. It seemed like every time I began to get some good suction action, the seal would break and it would go away. I googled the problem, and saw that people recommended lube, so tried it with lube -- still no suction-y fun. So I tossed this toy into the back of my toy box and paid it no mind until I was cleaning and organizing all of my toys one day...

The big issue I'd been having with the pump is that the soft sleeve (both the smooth and tickler varieties) wouldn't hold suction... so, with the sleeve off for cleaning, I happened to slip the pump inside my bra and apply a little suction to my nipple -- OMG SENSATION! So, jeans off, tumbled into bed, I found out that without that sleeve on it, the pump delivered all that was promised and more. Incredible suction, to the point of curling my toes, and an amazing sensation of having the hard plastic directly against the more tender skin of my pubic mound, clit, and labia. Without adding pain, precisely, the scrape and pressure of the hard plastic added a whole other dimension to the sensation that completely changed my view toward this toy.

A note on cleaning: Especially if you are taking the sleeve off, you should be extra conscientious about cleaning out the neck of the toy, as it will suction up more than air. You can use a damp washcloth (with cleaner) combined with cotton swabs to get inside the toy and make sure everything is squeaky clean. The pump is a mix of hard plastic and TPR, so you can pretty much clean with water and antibacterial cleanser, but you should steer clear of oil-based lubes because of the TPR components (water & silicone-based lubes are copacetic). Since TPR is porous, make sure to use condoms if you are sharing this toy with others. (And since condoms would probably interfere with the whole suction part, I'd recommend buying this for yourself and not sharing it with others.)

A couple other notes about this toy. The Advanced clit pump has a built-in vibrator, which to be honest, didn't do it for me. I preferred the sensation of suction unmitigated by vibration. The vibrator component isn't especially loud (about 2 buzzy bees), but isn't especially world-shaking either (maybe 2-3 vrooms).
