Pretty much as simple, discreet, and non-intimidating as you can get, the Petit Ami is a one speed vibrator that can be used all over the body. It's a bit pricey for what it is. Honestly, it is worth about half the price, but it's so cute! It's hard to find a vibrator this small. Being one speed and buzzy, it doesn't offer much that way either, but for some reason my boyfriend insists on taking this everywhere and keeping it within reach. He even made a game of it during the Black Hawks hockey games we watch! Petit Ami only runs on one battery and is very easy to clean. I recommend to people who don't need a lot of power, but like slimlined, easy to use vibrators. It can be used by anyone!

Ptit Ami is made of silky smooth, and rigid plastic. It's really slick when lubed up! It is hard to keep your fingers on this small toy if it gets that way. The plastic is rated as an 8 on Eden's Safety Material Scale. Plastic is a really safe material for toys because it is nonporous, a food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, and free of both latex, and phthalates. It is safe for those with allergies or skin sensitives. While this is nonporous, it can't be sterilized so it should not be shared with those you don't know to have a clean bill of sexual health. A condom isn't very easy or practical to use with this shape and size of a toy. It has no odor or taste.

Aside from bullets, I think Petit Ami is the smallest toy I own. If you were to cut a cross section of an egg multiple times, it is about as wide and tall as your average grade A large sized egg. it is 2 7/8" long if you hold it with the button on the top. It is 1 3/4" wide and very thin. It ranges from 3/8" to 5/8" thick. The thicker side of the egg shape is due to the single AAA battery being stored on that side. The oval like shape has a depressed smaller oval in the middle of it that makes for a perfect spot to place your fingers while holding the vibrator. The overall look of the vibrator reminds me of a change purse, one of those that opens in the middle.

On the prettier side of vibe it has three flower details around the outer part of the oval shape. On the other side it a lot more crude. There are holes visible where the screws can be seen. This side also has the battery compartment. There is also a removable gold sticker with some safety warnings on it. If you can help it, try not to get lubricant on this side of the vibrator because it's hard to get out of all the different grooves.



The Petit Ami is controlled by a single button. The button in located on the thin side of the vibrator towards the bottom and a bit off center. It's not a great spot for how you would naturally most comfortably hold the toy, but it is easy to push and use.

The Petit Ami has a single speed of steady vibration. The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire toy, but are strongest opposite the push button control. They are pretty buzzy and diffused. Compared to all other vibrations things I have tried, I would consider these vibrations to be medium low. They are stronger than what you'd get out of a disposable vibrating cock ring, but not by a landslide. I had a pretty hard time finding my clit with this vibe, and when I did, it was hard to keep on it. I had yet to finish from Petit, but it still has been a whimsical way to tease each other. My partner likes to keep this vibe in the living room when a Black Hawk's game is on. They make a goal and we each use it on each other for a short period in celebration. By intermission or the end of the game, we are more than ready to jump each other! So yea, this toy isn't anything spectacular, but its simplicity makes it an anywhere anytime kind of toy that gives it a practicality many toys don't have in the moment.

If only the sound level was lower or this was waterproof! The sound level is high for the power level it puts out. It can certainly be heard across a room and probably through most doors.

Petit Ami can be used with water, oil, or silicone based lubricants. I used a water based lubricant that worked just fine. Most often, we didn't use a lubricant at all and just slid the Petit Ami over our clothing. It can be wiped down with a toy cleaner spray or wipe. It really doesn't need anymore than that. To store, it can be placed pretty much anywhere. It can be a book mark even! It's so small that it's the easiest thing to store, easier than an ipod.

The tiny toy comes in a fairly large box for its size. The toy is well presented in a clear plastic box. It sits in a tray that slides into the box and is positioned underneath a pane that shows the toy through the front. There are no included instructions, but if you can't figure this toy out, you probably shouldn't be procreating anyways. It's as simple as it gets. The package makes the toy look nice, but it's not necessary for storage.

It's really hard for me to rate this product. At first I wanted to give it a solid three for being an easy to use, simple, yet fun vibe that is discreet and so easy to hide. BUT, the vibes are weak and it's a one speed. It's also way over priced for what it is. I've never finished to it even though my partner and I like using it for quick teasing arousal. I decided to give it a 2. I'm not displeased with the purchase, however. I've never said that about an item I rated a two before. I guess it's a love hate relationship.
