This hide-a-vibe is best suited for beginners, but can be enjoyed by just about anyone. It can be used for clitoral stimulation as well as vaginal penetration. Both the vibe and the case are made out of the same plastic. Being made of plastic means that they are non-porous and phthalate-free and have a hard smooth texture. Running your fingers across it produces no drag whatsoever.

I'll start with the case. The design is very simple: it's a box like object big enough to hold a small vibrator. It measures 5 1/4" long and just under 1 1/2" across at any point. There is a break point just about exactly across the equator of the case, this separates the two halves. Inside there is a definitive "top" and "bottom". The bottom of the case has a round "hole" for lack of a better word that will hold the base of the vibrator in place while being stored. While the vibrator is inside it is held very securely. More experienced vibe users will probably get bored with this one pretty quick, but it's very basic and simple design make it perfect for beginners who are new to vibrators and want to test the waters.

Now while this isn't exactly the most discreet thing out there, if you keep it in the case and leave it out on accident, there's nothing about it that screams "sex toy". The highest level of vibration here is enough to make my fingers go numb from just holding the toy for a few moments.

All of the vibrations are a steady vibration, there is no pulsing or anything fancy. They seem lower pitched but still fairly audible, especially if you know to listen for it.

This toy runs on 1 AA battery. To install, simply unscrew the cap to the battery compartment in a counter clockwise direction, drop the battery in "pointy" side down, then screw the cap back on in a clockwise direction. Also note that while screwing the cap back on after installation, you are very likely to turn the toy on. Please don't be startled, this is perfectly normal. Battery life seems to be pretty fantastic so far. And by that I mean we've used this toy off and on for almost a year and have yet to change the battery.

As far as I know this toy is not waterproof. I haven't felt like risking it yet, so I would advise against taking this into a watery environment.

Taking care of this toy is extremely easy. Because it's made of a hard plastic you can clean it by either washing it with antibacterial soap and hot water, wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol, wipe it with a toy wipe, or just shoot it with a toy cleaner. Take special care to avoid getting the controls or the battery compartment wet. Personally I just clean mine with a little bit of toy cleaner.

You should also remove the batter for extended periods of storage to avoid corrosion of the interior metal workings.

This toy is absolutely never to be used anally. It can't be sterilized, and do you really want to explain to the doctor why your hind end is vibrating?

Also taking note of not being able to sterilize, that means either use a condom if you plan to share, or just don't share.
