I had to really get my fingers in there with some soap to get all of the nubs fully cleaned off. I'd store it in a plastic bag or a box of some sort, if only because of the aforementioned cleaning duty. If you have dust or animals, you'd have to clean anything caught in the nubs from disuse before playing again. I also noticed that I didn't require lube with this toy, but your mileage may vary.
