Playful Pleasures by Doc Johnson is a multispeed bullet covered with a TPE sleeve, which is designed to stimulate the clitoris and g-spot. It won't actually provide g-spot stimulation for most women, but it does stimulate the first few inches of the vagina. It's much smaller than most dual stimulation toys, and would be a good option for those who find rabbit vibrators too large. It could also be a good travel vibrator, since you get both internal and external stimulation in one small package. The sleeve is removable, so the bullet could also be used by itself, which adds some versatility. Playful Pleasures is waterproof, so you can take the dolphin for a swim in your bathtub.

The dolphin shaped sleeve is made from TPE. It's phthalate free, but porous, earning 6/10 on EdenFantasys' material safety scale. The TPE is squishy and flexible, so it can't be used to apply pressure to the clitoris or g-spot. The surface is shiny and smooth and has lots of drag. The tip of the toy has some ridges, but the texture is not obvious during use. The TPE has a bit of a smell to it, which reminds me of a beach ball. It's not very strong, but is stronger than I have noticed in other TPE/TPR toys. The smell does seem to fade with air exposure and cleaning.

The internal bullet and the controller are made from hard, shiny plastic.

The toy's measurements vary slightly from those provided by the manufacturer. The sleeve is 4 1/2" long from end to end, with 3" of insertable length. The tip of the insertable portion is 1" wide. It narrows down to a 1/2" neck, then expands to 1 3/8" at the largest insertable point. The tip is slightly curved, but due to the small size and flexible material, it would only provide g-spot stimulation for those with very sensitive, easily reached g-spots. For most users, it will provides some light stimulation to the first few inches of the vagina. The dolphin shaped clit stimulator extends 1" from the bullet.

The cord is 30" long, which should be sufficient for most users. The control pack is 1" wide and 5" long. The base/battery cap is circular, while the rest of the controller is flattened. According to the packaging, this is a brand new design, and is meant to be a pleasure to hold. I did not find the controller fit comfortably into my hand, and would have preferred it maintained the same shape and thickness throughout. The battery cap screws on securely, and has an O-ring inside, to keep out water. It takes 2 AAA batteries, and there are marking inside the compartment indicating the direction they should be inserted in.

The bullet has 4 speeds of steady vibrations. They are controlled by up and down arrow buttons on the controller. The controls are simple and easy to use. There are light indicators on the controller, to show which power level you are on.

The bullet's vibrations are strong, but the sleeve does not conduct the vibrations well. They weaken significantly when any pressure is applied. To get the full strength of the clit stimulator, the nose of the dolphin will need to be just barely in contact with the clitoris so it can flutter against it. The pressure of the vaginal walls making contact with the internal portion is enough to weaken the vibrations.

I would give the bullet itself 4 vrooms. When just the tip of the dolphin's nose or the g-spot stimulator are in contact with the body, they would also earn 4 vrooms. When any sort of pressure is applied, the vibrations are weakened to 2 vrooms.

The bullet is also louder when used with the sleeve than it is by itself. The bullet rates 2 bees, but with the sleeve, it increases to 3 bees, due to the TPE vibrating against the sides of the bullet. It's not a huge volume increase, but it's the difference between being heard through a door or not.

The toy continued to function perfectly after being completely submerged (including the controller).

TPE toys can be cleaned with soap and water, or toy cleaner. Since it is waterproof and doesn't have a lot of texture, Playful Pleasures can be washed quickly and easily. TPE toys are porous, and can't be disinfected, so they shouldn't be shared without a condom. Unfortunately, a condom won't fit well over this toy.

Playful Pleasures is compatible with any type of lubrication. It should be stored separately from other toys made of soft materials, to prevent reactions.

Playful Pleasures is packaged in a thin, plastic box. It is too flimsy to work well for long-term storage. The packaging is not discreet, because it displays the toy and has the words "dolphin bullet with clit stimulator" on the front.

The package provides some information about the product, including the material it's made from, the batteries it takes, and that it is multispeed and waterproof. There are no instructions included with the toy.
