The Prince - Only Charming for Beginners and Travelers
The Prince is a good and cheap option for a beginner just testing the waters or a frequent traveler looking for a discreet vibrator to keep in their carry-on bag, but almost anyone else will be unimpressed. I am glad I bought the Prince because it encouraged me to move on to bigger and better things, but it is not something I would recommend to anyone with experience.

Pros
Discreet, Quiet, Cute, Beginner Friendly, Waterproof, Good For Travel
Cons
Weak, Small
The Prince was my first foray into purchasing toys so I chose to go with something non-threatening. I chose The Prince because reviews said it was small, but I was still shocked by how tiny it was when I got it in my hands as it is just bit bigger than one of my fingers. The Prince has three levels of vibrations, but the low setting is almost non-existent and the high setting would likely rank between low and medium on almost any other vibrator.
Due to its size, the Prince is definitely best suited for clitoral stimulation. I did try inserting this vaginally, but it was just too small to have any effect and I couldn't really feel the vibrations internally. I had much better luck using it on the clitoris, but mostly on the high setting.
Material / Texture
The Prince is made of a velvety plastic, which makes it very soft and smooth to the touch. Plastic is a non-porous and phthalate-free material. Since the Prince is plastic you can use water, oil, or silicone lubricants, but you probably won't need a lubricant at all. I didn't notice any unusual tastes or odors after opening the product.
Design / Shape / Size
As I've already mentioned the Prince is very small, but for a better visual I will add that it's about the length of my finger. It is 4” inches in total length and just a bit more than 3” insertable length. In addition to being short, it is also thin - it is about width of two of my fingers. The circumference at the largest point is 2 3/4" and the diameter is .75”.
I am not usually a fan of pink, but it is a cute vibrator. The light pink color and the complimenting jewels along the bottom make for a pretty combination. The size and design make this a very discreet vibrator; it didn't draw any attention from security when I put it in my carry-on bag a few weeks ago.
Functions / Performance / Controls
This toy is very easy to use and only requires one AA battery. To turn it on you just turn the bottom dial and continue turning to change the intensity of the vibrations. There is no on/off button so I always take the battery out after using it so it doesn’t accidentally turn on if gets jostled.
I found the low vibration setting to be completely useless to me, no part of my body was sensitive enough for that setting to have any impact. The high setting packs a bit more of a punch so it provided some decent clitoral stimulation. I will admit that when I first used this I thought the clitoral stimulation on the highest setting was amazing. Now that I have something to compare it to I would say it is probably equivalent to the low setting on some of my other toys.
One of the better features of this vibrator is that it is waterproof. I took it in the bath a few times, mostly just to test out the waterproof claims. I was certain that this was going to be one of those toys that claimed to be waterproof, but actually wasn't. I was pleasantly surprised that it survived being submerged in water. It was incredibly quiet under water.
Care and Maintenance
The Prince is easy to clean as you can use antibacterial soap and hot water or wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol. If my flatmates are home I use a toy cleaner just to wipe it down as soon as I'm finished, but when I get a chance I clean it with warm water and soap. You can store it in its original packaging, but as you will see below I was not a fan of the packaging so I choose to store it in a plastic bag. Also, keep an eye on the jewels when you are washing them because they do get loose and I imagine it would not be a pleasant experience to have it fall off inside you.
Packaging
For such a discreet toy I expected the packaging to be equally discreet, but that was definitely not the case. While the packaging was pretty small, the design is by no means inconspicuous. The front has a picture of a topless girl – it’s definitely not something I wanted to keep around from any of my flatmates to find. There were no instructions included on or in the packaging, but it didn’t really matter because the Prince is fairly simple to figure out.

Experience
Despite some of its pitfalls, I still think The Prince is a good little toy and worth it for how little it costs. The Prince served its purpose for me as a beginner toy to help me get over my skittishness. This is something I used a few times to get comfortable and have now relegated it to my travel bag. Even as a novice I got bored with it rather quickly and it will never be part of my regular rotation, but it has become a great travel companion for me. I love travelling with it because it is discreet enough to keep in my carry-on bag and, since it is not a favorite, I wouldn't be devastated if it got lost or damaged. In fact, I would probably buy it again if anything should happen to The Prince during our travels.
Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
I don't use The Prince at all anymore. I've even taken it out of my travel bag, now that I know my good friends at the TSA won't be confiscating my better toys. The Prince was a great introduction to vibrators, but it is just too weak to stay in my rotation.
