The Prickly Royal Treatment
Overall, I think this toy is totally worth the money for those who want to try out a little texture and want a good solid vibe.

Pros
Soft, yet firm, good vibe that could also work for clitoral stimulation
Cons
No case, wish there was more grip on the vibration dial, weird greasiness upon arrival.
I will begin this review with the first impression upon receiving the item. As seen in the product photos, the packaging is far from elegant. The sultry photo in the plastic packaging definitely screams "Smut toy!!" right off the bat (although perhaps this isn't a negative, but rather an honest presentation.) In any case, it isn't exactly gift-wrap-ready. However I do really love the deep purple color!
When I took the Regal Prickly out of the package, I was a little sad to see that there wasn't any kind of container/bag/case for it. I was also a bit put off by the generally greasy feel it had all over the jelly surface. It also had a mild odor which had me a bit concerned. Thankfully both the greasiness and the smell disappeared after a simple washing with soap and water.
Speaking of cleaning, soap and water is indeed the preferred method; although, one must be extra careful to scrub in between those little prickles on the end! As I mentioned before, this toy is made primarily of jelly which earns a 2 on the Eden Fantasy scale. Therefore, this toy cannot be sterilized like silicone and should not be shared between partners without using a condom.
This was my first experience with a jelly toy and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I thought it would be very limp and "floppy" but it was actually more of a spongy padding around a firm shaft. The vibration is decently strong and I would say it was on par with toys I've owned that were $15-$20 more. It does have a slight "buzziness" to it, but I would say it is well worth the price. It doesn't feel like much at first but it transfers quite well through the jelly! I was happy to find out that this vibe could be "dialed up" by twisting the dial for a range of speeds, but I found it hard to manipulate when things get a bit slippery.
I could clearly feel the vibrations through the prickles when used on my clitoris (and I quite enjoyed the texture there!), but I really didn't enjoy this toy so much internally. I felt like the prickles really grabbed my skin and I didn't like it one bit. I'm sure this is a purely a personal preference and that perhaps those of you who are into the knobby-texture would find this quite enjoyable. Also, there are some small ribs further down the shaft, but those really can't be felt at all as far as I'm concerned.
I will probably use this again when I need a change of pace despite the texture. I did really enjoy the soft-yet-firm quality of the toy itself and the circumference is big enough to be felt but not intimidating. Overall I would say that this toy is well worth the money and would be a great first toy for those of you who want to experiment with textures!

I'm pretty sure the material "sweats" and that is what the greasy feeling was. Thanks for the review : )
