Meany by Fun Factory is mean alright. Not because he is big and scary and tries to steal your lunch money. Just because he is weak and teases your bits getting them so excited, and cannot take you beyond that
Meany is a compact silicone vibrator brought to us by the minivibes line by Fun Factory. It is listed as a G-spot vibrator but it did nothing for mine.
It is small and quiet enough to use anywhere at anytime. The vibrations are not strong at all but are good for teasing and getting you warmed up for the next thing.
It can be used for clitoral or vaginal stimulation. I would not want to use this for anal play unless you know how to keep a good grip on it. It has no flared base and is not very long. No one wants that trip to the ER.
I have Meany in black. He is made of matte silicone and the bulb end is made of hard matted plastic. The silicone had no smell or taste at all coming out of the box. He is smooth and has a few ridges on one side. His tip is flexible but the rest is pretty rigid.
Silicone is non-porous, latex and Phthalates free, and body safe.
The silicone is a dust and lint magnet and has quite a bit of drag. You will want to use some water based lube when using this guy. A little will go a long way. If you use too much you may have a hard time hitting the function buttons on the one side of the toy that are built right into the silicone. Have a towel handy for this.
Meany is 5.5 inches long from top to bottom. He is listed as having an insertable length of 4.5 inches but that includes the function buttons. Therefore, if you still want access to those, the insertable length is actually 3.5 inches. He is, at his widest point, 4.5 inches around and his skinnier top half is 4 inches around.
The tip has a bit of a curve to it and along one side of the body are some rather pronounced ridges.
The base opens with a quarter turn and that is where you insert 2 AAA batteries. You want to make sure that the lines are all lined up at the base when you close it to be certain it is closed properly and that will ensure the waterproof factor.
The vibrations for Meany are located in the middle to bottom section of the toy. Unfortunately the vibrations are not strong at all. This would be a well suited toy for someone with a very sensitive vagina. The buttons are on the bottom most section of the silicone where it meets the plastic. They are 2 raised buttons with a + and - sign.
Holding the + sign for a second or 2 will turn Meany on and a low that can barely be felt. Continuously pressing it will cycle you up 8 vibration settings. Once you hit the highest setting you can once again press and hold the + button to find 3 vibration patterns. The first being a slow roller coaster type pattern, then onto a slow pulse and finally a quicker pulse.
There is no emergency off feature on this toy. To get out of the patters you will hit the - sign and then to turn off you will keep pressing the - until it scrolls back down through all the settings to finally reach its off point.
Meany is not noisy at all and he works just fine in water
You can clean Meany with warm water and soap, toy cleaner, or sanitize him with a 10% bleach solution. You can store him in his original box but it is rather bulky. It is easier to store him in a small drawstring bag. Just store him in something because he collects serious amounts of lint. Give him a quick rinse before use if he is linty so that you don't end up with lint in your cooch.
Meany came in the always great Fun Factory packaging with a flip open panel to show the toy inside. In the box was a pamphlet for other FF toys, an instruction manual in many languages and a sample of Toyfluid, Fun Factory's water based lubricant.
The ingredients for Toyfluid are as follows: Aqua, Glycerin, Ethoxydiglycol, Guar Hydroxypropycellulose, Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol/Methylisothiazolinone/Methylchloroisothiazolinone
Meany is my first Fun Factory toy. I was so excited to get it. I have read such great things about Fun Factory that I could not wait! Alas, I am not so thrilled. I will not let this first FF experience deter me from getting anything from them again but I certainly was not thrilled about this one.
The vibrations, although rumbly, are weak. Even on its highest setting it left me wanting more and time and time again I end up tossing it aside and grabbing something else. I tried changing the batteries, even a different brand in case it was that. But no dice. It is a tease. Gets you revved up, but not enough to take you home. I am going to guess that is why it is such a meany.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it2 months after original review
Meany is just not mean enough for me. If it was just more powerful it would be a hit. It sits in the land of lost toys that is my drawer, taking up space and collecting dust.

I wouldn't give up on them, though. Some of the larger vibes (and I've heard the Yooo) are really great.
