I did quite a bit of research for the Lucid Dream #14, and came across several negative reviews over a PVC/chemical smell that supposedly reeked from this toy. So, first of all, I would like to say that it got way more negative feedback than it deserves. Expecting a Lelo? It's 20 bucks, people! You get what you pay for, and this handsome thing delivers a vibe so pleasurable that even if it doesn’t finish out the year, I would not at all regret my purchase.

I have had the product for about 6 months now and probably use it every other day (even during foreplay!) When I got the product and opened the box, I did notice a bit of a smell of plastic, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was led to believe. After I received it in the mail, I let it sit in a shallow, soapy warm bath for an hour. This helped a little, but the smell mostly just diminishes with time and use. If for some reason this worries you about your goodies, there’s definitely no harm in using protection.

It’s so very simple to put to work: just unscrew the bottom, put in the required 2 AA batteries, and screw the bottom back on. Simple as pie! The battery life for my Lucid Dream is fair, which understandable if you take into account that big 'ol motor. Actually, the batteries lasted longer than I expected them to. I used Energizer as I do with all my toys. And as with any other toy, take the batteries out when not in use and they will last longer.

It is waterproof and works well in the shower. Though personally, my knees got too weak, and I just took it back to bed. I would not try completely submerging it in the bath, just for fear of drowning my buddy.
It is wonderful internally, and I bought it for that purpose, but lately I've used it primarily for clitoral stimulation, and I LOVE it! Never takes me long at all to reach orgasm. As you turn the dial at the bottom, the intensity of the vibration increases.

The noise is pretty quiet, although I wouldn't really call it virtually silent, it's very easy to hide. All in all, I am a big fan and would buy it again!
