As soon as I saw these, I knew I had to have them. I have a similar pair from Victoria Secret and my partner loves them. I knew I would feel sexy in these since Coquette items usually fit me like a glove. Wow. Not these! I swear they were made for a woman a third of my size (US 8) when I first put them on. Their design is a bit odd and the sizing is very off-especially compared to other Coquette items.

*Contents/overview: one piece

These panties are basically a low-cut bikini style, with an open crotch and butt, and a tie bow backing. It is available in one size fits all and plus. This is more like xs and ml-if that.

*Material: very nice

These panties are made of 82% nylon and 18% spandex which is exclusive of the satin bow trim and velvet accents. The shell has two layers. The outer layer is mesh while the inner layer is more solid. All of the materials are very soft and stretchy.

*Design/craftsmanship: well made

The basic style of these panties is a very low rise, brief pantie with an entirely open back side. The front is a solid baby pink mesh with accented black velvet bows. There is a larger bow in the center top of the pantie. There are two loops that go around the thighs (you step into them). The ENTIRE back of these panties is open. Attached to the sides (at the band) are two, long and thick, black ribbons. They tie in the back. There is plenty of ribbon length to tie around larger hips (that is if your thighs are small enough to fit the rest of the panty). The crotch is open and only has the straps that go under the thighs. There is no other fabric even remotely close to blocking the way. If you really wanted to, you could cut off the tag and reverse these so the bow pattern is not as visible.

*Cleaning/care/storage: hand wash

The tag says to hand wash in cold water. These can actually be put through the washer and dryer in a lingerie bag on cool and light/delicate cycles. I did not notice any shrinking.

*Sizing: SO off!

I have never known Coquette's sizing to be as off as this. Actually, this is among the worst sized items I have ever encountered as far as lingerie goes. When I first got these I was about 155 pounds and a size 10ish. They were SO tiny and totally unwearable. I actually had a support ticket in to exchange them. I never got around to it, and in the mean time lost 15 pounds and between 1-2 dress sizes. Now they fit, but still ride VERY low and fit oddly. The worst part is the thigh holes. Before I lost weight, the cords cut into my tendons-that is an uncomfortable thought! Now they fit okay and don't bother me.

The one size fits most is a joke! They say they fit a 4-14 dress size, 26-32" waist, and 36-42" hip. I'm on the lower end of the dress sizes and the middle of both the waist and hip measurements. I'm ~145 size 8. Any bigger than me or out of shape? Don't get these then.

*Re-done Sizing:

-These are best for a size 2-6 (NOT anywhere nears a size 14)
-If you are over a size 6-8, order a plus

*Performance:

My partner loved these and was immediately turned on by the sight of seeing me in them. He said he liked them because from the front they look pretty normal. Then turn around and it is a completely different story. He also liked that the bow tie in the back was functional. It's like opening a present! Although, since these are crotchless and backless, there is no real need to. Having sex in them with me on top was not as comfortable as him being behind me. As small as they are, they are not very comfortable with legs wide spread.

*Conclusion:

I'm giving these 3 stars for being so grossly miss-sized. They are well made and super sexy, but I was dissapointed from the start. These look like they would fit an American Girl DOLL.

P.S. If I do end up getting the plus size, I'll update in my follow up. Even though these work for me now, and I imagine they will be even better as my work outs gets more intense, I am still curious to see how off the mark the plus-size ones are.

I'm still not a huge fan of these undies. For the price, I don't think I lost out that much, but I wouldn't buy a similar design in a one size fits most from Coquette again. The size is odd and because of that I don't feel comfortable wearing these under clothing.
