The Jopen Vanity Vr5 is the perfect dual-function vibrator for those who have had difficulty with clamp-like clitoral arms or excessively girth-y g-spot stimulators. The velvety smooth insertable length of the Vr5 is sensuously curved for g-spot and thrusting fun without being too cumbersome. The texture of the silicone itself doesn't add any extra stimulation. It does require the use of a bit more lube compared to a smoother toy. Stimulation comes from the shape of the toy instead. Anyone (even a first time user) can appreciate the joy of the silicone material.

The trick to buying a dual-function vibrator is finding one that works with your personal anatomy. When I chose the Vr5, I chose it due to its similarities to toys that had worked for me in the past. This was a wise decision, because the Vr5 fits me perfectly. The shape of the shaft conforms to the natural contours of my vagina extremely well. I find that I can stimulate my g-spot with either of the bulbous waves on the shaft, and I can use the waves to stimulate my vaginal orifice during thrusting.

The clitoral arm hits my clitoris without clamping down on it. The size of the clitoral arm is such that I do not think it would be able to clamp down upon anybody. The size of the Vr5 is very non-threatening. It would work well for users at any level of experience. However, those who love a really large toy would be disappointed.

The Vr5 comes with a black drawstring bag for easy storage and travel. It is also lockable by holding down both buttons at the same time for a few seconds until the red LED lights in the buttons flash off. Though the toy itself is not discreet, it can be easily hidden or packed for travel without any worries about it being turned on accidentally.

The control buttons for the Vr5 are on the lowermost graspable portion of the toy, just below the clitoral arm. The button closest to the arm controls the shaft PowerBullet. The button below that controls the clitoral arm PowerBullet. Pressing either button turns the portion it controls on. The buttons light up red. To turn up the intensity of the vibrations, you must press and hold the buttons down. The buttons will flash as the intensity increases. When the highest setting is reached, the flash will stop. To go to a lower setting, you must turn off the vibrations by pressing the button again and adjust to the desired setting from there. Some might find this inconvenient, but it was not an issue for me.

As stated before, the toy can be locked by pressing and holding both buttons at once until the lights flash off. To unlock the toy, simply repeat the process. Recharging the toy is accomplished by plugging the included AC adapter into the back of the toy. A red LED next to the charging port lights up while the Vr5 is charging. When charging is finished, the light shuts off. The instructions say a white LED will come on, but that didn't happen. Many people who have used the Jopen Vanity line have reported the same thing.

Looking at the charging port, you would never imagine the Vr5 is waterproof, but it is. Inside the charging port hole is a silicone membrane that closes when the charger isn't inserted, thus shutting out water. I have gotten my Vr5 wet several times, and it has not suffered any ill effects.

The Vr5 is pretty quiet. Recently, I left the bedroom door open while using it, and my partner said he didn't hear it in the next room. You definitely won't be heard on the other side of a wall or door. However, you will be able to hear it while using it under the covers.

Since the toy is 100% silicone, it is easy to clean and maintain. It can be cleaned with either antibacterial soap and water or toy cleaner. After I clean it, I place it in the included drawstring storage bag and place that back into the original box. Only water-based lubes should be used with silicone toys. Silicone lubes will damage the surface of the toy.

The Vr5 comes in a textured, white, sturdy cardboard box. The front has the Jopen Vanity logo. From the front, you would never know what is in the box. On the back of the box is a picture of the Vr5 with a listing of its features. It isn't the fanciest sex toy packaging out there, but it is functional. Upon opening the box, there is a piece of vellum that lists the features of the toy. Some might find this unnecessary, but it might be helpful if you're giving the Vr5 to someone special as a gift.

The toy itself rests in the die-cut cardboard tray. Underneath the tray is space containing the charger, instruction booklet, and drawstring storage bag. The instruction manual contains instructions for all of the Vanity models that are easy to follow. The storage bag is quite large. I think it is large due to being designed with the larger Vanity models and their charging docks in mind. There is certainly enough room to carry the Vr5, the charger, lube, toy cleaner, and maybe one extra toy in there. This makes the bag great for travel. I use the bag to store the toy and I place it in the box with the charger. This works for me, and it should work for others.

The Vr5's PowerBullet technology makes for intense, deep vibrations. The vibrations in the shaft are especially deep. While inserted into my vagina, I could actually feel the vibrations traveling across my perineum to my anal area. The extra little bit of anal stimulation was a nice addition to the mix.
