The Animal Instincts vibrator by Doc Johnson is a bullet made to be used with an accompanying outer sleeve for extra stimulation and a touch of cute. Bullet vibrators are not only limited to use on female anatomy, namely the clitoris, and can provide stimulation to any erogenous part of the body. It is, however, not insertable.

Use it with or without the sleeve, and with or without a partner. This toy doesn't have to be kept in the bedroom: it is waterproof so that you may take it in the shower, and it is small enough to store in your makeup bag or purse!

The bullet itself is made of plastic and is coated with a pearlescent, pink polish. I have tried scratching at it and so far it has not flaked or showed signs of cracking, but that may be something to be aware of down the road. I can faintly see where I attempted to scratch the material, unfortunately, and it is left completely covered in finger prints.

The bunny sleeve is made out of TPR - slightly porous, and rated a 7/10 on the material safety scale. It is squishy, stretchy, and sticky. After a few washings the stickiness is lessened, but still attracts lint, hair, and dust like crazy. It also shows signs of cloudiness with use. I noticed a faint smell while being placed directly under my nose, but there was no taste. It does not smell chemical-like, but my safest guess is that it smells a little pastic-y, and did not change after being washed.

I didn't notice until I after I took this photo that it was already covered in hair, but here you go:

The bullet is a rounded cylindrical shape with 2-1/2" in height and 2-3/8" in circumference. The sleeve makes it 2-2/3" tall, and the circumference is varying because of the shape/texture of the rabbit. I'm silly so I took note that head is bulbous and tapers upward, making it look penis-shaped. Its two short ears provide you with pleasant tickling but are not firm enough to provide any actual power or pressure.

The size is what makes it discreet and it is easily hidden away. Great size for travelling or taking on-the-go (as long as you are not using it with others close by).

This bullet is pretty strong and is powered by a single push button. One click turns it on to the first setting, each additional click with go onto the next setting, and finally off. The vibrations carry throughout sleeve, even through the head and ears, without diminishing; the only difference is that it less buzzy on the body portion of the rabbit where the bullet is located. The ears flicker rapidly and I found them to be give a very pleasurable tickle!

There are 7 total variations in vibrating and pulsing. Here is a list:

1) Steady vibration (I'd give this a 2.5 vrooms)
2) Stronger, steady vibration (about 2.75 vrooms, very slightly stronger)
3) Even stronger, steady vibration (about 3 vrooms)
4) Escalating and descending pulse (think of starting up a car)
5) Steady, quick pulse
6) Super quick pulse
7) Strong, steady vibration (this feels pretty much the same as level 3, but it may be an teensy bit deeper)

The push-button is very firm; I found sometimes it would not change right away, and requires a very strong push. I found this to have a considerable amount of settings, so I would have liked to have a kill switch since it takes a while to cycle through.

The material and waterproof nature of this toy allows for easy cleaning: warm water and soap, under a running faucet, or with any toy cleaner. Be sure to remove the sleeve from the bullet to clean it thoroughly The downside is that you cannot sanitize this in boiling water, and because the sleeve makes using condoms over it awkward, it is unideal to share between partners.

You can use water-based or silicone-based lubricants with this. If you do not wish to keep the original packaging for storage, I would still advice you to store it on its own to keep it clean and help lessen the amount of lint and gunk it attracts. Getting it dirty is far too easy regardless, so I highly recommend cleaning it both before and after use.

The packaging is not highly informational, just loud and cartoon-ish. The toy is clearly seen through the clear plastic, making it not very discreet. It would make a cute gift, but only if the recipient is open to receiving sex toys and is not concerned about others seeing what is inside. It actually comes with the 3 batteries it needs, which is very nice since not everyone has watch batteries on hand.

There is a helpful warning on the package:
To avoid injury or aggravation of pre-existing conditions, this product should not be used on swollen or inflamed areas or skin lacerations. Meaning: do not use this where you may have cuts, wounds, or any broken skin. The material and vibrations can be very irritating.

I think this toy is absolutely adorable and I was excited to get it. Although the loudness is a little disheartening, I do enjoy the vibrations very much. I love the way the ears tickle when used over my smooth, nylon/spandex panties, and I think that is my favorite thing about it. It's not as exciting for me using it without panties because the sticky sleeve causes drag. Lube helps diminish the drag, but I still prefer it as a means of teasing through clothing.

I'm deducting a star due to how much I dislike the sticky coating, otherwise I can't say anything really bad about this product. For the price, I think this is a fun buy - especially for Easter coming up.
