This is an ergonomic vibrator that is made to sit against your vaginal opening and your clitoris at the same time. It may take some shifting and experimenting to determine the best placement for your anatomy, but that is part of the experience of this style of toys. You are not limited to where you use it though as it works great for anything you like a bit of vibrations on, or that you need a little bit of massaging done. I have found it useful for working out the knots in my neck at the base of my skull as it just fits right into the curve there and a little bit can go a long way. Being waterproof, ergonomic, about 4 1/2 inches long, and coming with its own bag for carrying and storage, you can take this with you to use anywhere you would like including into the pool.

Anyone from the beginner to the advanced user will find this easy to use and enjoyable. Those who like more power behind their toys, or who are not as sensitive to vibrations may find this toy to be a little bit underwhelming and lacking. It can still be used as a teaser to start out and act as a bit of foreplay though, allowing it to still have some redeeming ability.

When I received the Ascendancy, I was quite happy with the material it is made from. With a hard plastic upper portion and a silicone lower portion, it is free from any and all odors. Underneath the soft silicone, there is hard plastic to give it some firmness and shape. The entire surface is a smooth texture, with a slightly silky feel to the silicone. The silicone having a silky feel gives it a more sensual feel while the hard plastic allows for nice pressure to be applied if you so choose, making for a combination of sensations at the same time. Anyone who loves a soft yet firm feeling will be happy with the way this interacts with your anatomy.

The Ascendancy is made to be ergonomic, meaning that it is intended to fit against your body comfortably. It easily achieves this as the curves let it nestle down against your pubic bone. It is made with one end being slightly bulbous. This is the end that sits against the vaginal opening inside of the labia. As it tapers down in the center, the contour changes allowing for it to curve and fit against the pubic bone and clitoris. The other end is wider and houses the 2 AAA batteries (not included).



The pink and white color lends a feminine look and feel, while the shape allows it to nestle down against the opening and against the pubic bone. The upper portion is made to fit against your hand guiding your finger to the control buttons and allowing you to be able to add some pressure or move it as you see fit. It will fit comfortably in most female hands and also in smaller male hands. I was not able to test out the fit for larger male hands but I would think it might not be as comfortable with their finger length. The buttons themselves are white and light up when it is turned on.

It comes with its own carrying bag, making it easy to take with you.



Being 4 ½ inches long and having a maximum diameter of 1 ¾ inches, it is easy to hide most anywhere in your room or belongings. At 6 ounces, it also is not too heavy and most people will not think anything of its weight.

The larger bulbous end of it is where the vibrations are located. They are specifically centered just beyond the button controls. This allows for them to be carried up to the area meant to be against the clitoris. They are weaker here though and as such makes it more ideally suited for women who like the feeling of vibrations against their labia.

It is labeled as waterproof, yet when you look at it you would not believe it. The battery compartment is located on one end and the cover does not sit against the sides. It looks as though there is a gap on both sides of the cover in which the water could get in. Once you open the cover you notice that there is a clear piece of silicone which seals the compartment, when the cover is on, and in theory will make it waterproof. I was hesitant to try, but for the sake of this review I did. It not only still worked after being submerged and floating in a tub, but when I took out the batteries, they were 100% dry.







The buttons are simple to figure out based on the symbols on them. The one closer to the batteries is the power button, while the second one lets you change the vibrations. There are seven different patterns available to choose from: low, medium, high, a fast pulsating escalation, slow pulsation, fast pulsation, or 3 short pulses and one long one. Simply press the first button, then press the second one until you reach a setting that you like; once you get to the end, it will cycle through again. Once you are ready to turn it off, all you need to do is press the power button again. When on its highest setting, you can slightly hear it through blankets, while even without the blankets you would not hear it outside a door. I was able to use it multiple times while in bed next to a light sleeper and he did not even stir from the sound of it.

When the batteries are dying, the high setting is about the same as the low setting with new batteries and the lights behind the buttons will flash. Personally, I was only able to use it about 12 times, for 15 to 30 minute periods of testing, before the batteries started to go.

The silky smooth texture of the silicone allows for minimal drag and resistance when using this toy. Should you need a bit of lube, use water based only as silicone lubes will break down the silicone on the toy. I personally like Astroglide Glycerin and Paraben-free as it is safe for even the most sensitive skin.

The packaging comes with cleaning instructions which are to use mild soap and water to clean it. I personally do this will all of my toys followed by a toy cleaner spray which is antibacterial. As the materials in this toy are plastic and silicone, you are fine with this simple procedure.

Along with your toy you get a simple white bag to store it in. Simply take out the batteries and place both in the bag. I recommend removing ALL batteries from toys before storage as they will die faster if they are in the toys. Once you have put it in the bag, you can keep it anywhere you would like.

The packaging is simple and elegant, yet obvious at the same time. The bottom portion is made of the same type of cardboard which some companies use for their boxes. The back of this base talks some about the features of the toy, while the side has the barcode scanner on it and a picture of the toy with the bag. There is a nice little “drawer” which you can get to from either side which contains the bag and the instructions. The toy sits nicely settled into the base with a piece of plastic that is formed to sit against the top of it. There is a plastic cover that holds it all into place which has the brand name written across the center front. There are two small clear stickers on the bottom which hold the cover on securely for hanging in a store or for shipping. After removing these, make sure you are either holding it upside down or it is set on a flat surface. You may want to have something soft below it just in case. When you remove the plastic cover, the toy may fall out easily if the box is even slightly tilted.







The instruction booklet tells you not only how to clean and store your toy, but also everything else you need to know about its use, in multiple languages.

I have stated in the cons that it can go through batteries quickly; this is due to the fact that I was only able to get about 12 uses out of it before I had to replace them. I used it for a minimum of 15 minutes, with a maximum of 30, before it started to get warm and I would stop. The length of time that I would use it for was partially due to testing it, and partially due to figuring out the best placement with my body. I am also not that easy to get off with mild to mid level vibrations and it can take some time before I do.
