You could use this vibe almost anywhere on the body. The best uses I have found for the toy are stimulation of the clitoris and vaginally. I wouldn't suggest using it anally because it doesn't have a flared base and could get lost.

Solo play is probably the best time to use this toy. Because it is a hard toy, thrusting can be uncomfortable at times so use with a partner may be limited. However, since it is waterproof it could make for some fun shower/bath play with a partner or on your own.

The vibe is made out of a phthalate-free ABS plastic. The firmness of the material really appeals to me since I'm a huge fan of glass. It certainly felt larger than the toy actually is since it is such a hard material. Because of this it probably isn't for everyone.

The vibrator has fairly wide, vertical ribs that run the length of the toy. This was fine for thrusting in and out but if I wanted to twist the toy it could be a bit uncomfortable.

The design of the toy is a traditional ribbed vibe. It is simple and easy to look at due to the fun color and sleek ribs. Although I used it mostly for external stimulation and thrusting, I was about the hit my g-spot if I angled it just right.

The size of the toy measures 7 1/4" in length with an insertable length of 6 1/4". It's about 3 3/4" around and 1 1/8" across. This isn't a huge toy but because of the hardness of the material it does feel larger then it actually is.

I believe this toy could be traveled with but I wouldn't suggest using it in a public place since it is rather loud. The size is easy enough to just throw it in your purse or suitcase.

I would say this toy is much better suited for a beginner. The simple design, smooth texture, along with many other factors make it a nice toy for someone who hasn't had a lot of experience with vibes but doesn't want to shell out a ton of cash to see if they actually like them.

The Superstar has three speeds, low, medium, and high. The vibrations on all settings are pretty intense but there really isn't much difference from one speed to another. I found that there were "dead spots" in the vibe where I couldn't really feel the vibrations at all. At the tip of the piece the vibration wasn't very strong. However, move down the shaft just a little and the vibrations could be felt to the full intensity.

The toy was pretty noisy on all speed levels. It certainly had that high pitched buzzing noise that can be quite bothersome. I wasn't really bothered by this but I could see how it could be to some.

This vibe takes two AA batteries and tends to eat these up pretty quickly. After just two or three uses I could feel a difference in the intensity level of the toy and I would have to start by using it on a higher speed.

The controls on this toy were one of it's biggest downfalls for me. The dial to control speed is at the very bottom of the toy. Obviously you twist it to turn it on and off. Because this dial is also the cap for the battery case, I found that I would twist the cap too much and the batteries would come flying out! This was a huge mood killer since I then had to chase batteries around my bedroom floor. Another point about the cap is it is made out of pretty cheap plastic. If you twist it too hard it could break.

This toy is waterproof and I used it in the shower once or twice without a problem. I never submerged it in water. I was afraid to do so since the cap was pretty cheaply made and I wasn't sure it would survive a swim.

Cleaning is pretty simple, a little warm water and antibacterial soap will do the trick. Because the ribs are fairly deep on the shaft, a little extra scrubbing may be needed to clean in those valleys. The hard material makes it very easy to clean though.

Since this is plastic it can be stored with other toys and used with all lubes without a problem.

The packaging for this toy was pretty basic. It came in a flimsy plastic box which wouldn't be worth saving for storage because it didn't come with one of those trays that the toy could rest in. Instead, it had two plastic inserts that sat at the top and the bottom of the box. These pieces had a hole cut out of each were the toy fit into so that it stood up straight. Long story short, the box isn't the best place for storage. I keep it in a padded bag in my night stand with a few other toys.

On the front of the package it reads, "Stefani, Superstar" and a head shot of a blond woman who I would assume is Stefani. It also says it is waterproof and that is about it.

The back describes a lot of technical information using different symbols. These include, MS- Multi-speed, Phthalate Free ABS, CE (I probably should have known what this means but I didn't so I googled it. CE stands for European Conformity and means that the product is in compliance with European regulations), Uses Batteries, 2AA Not included, a trash can with an X through it, and Close Cap Tightly. Other then the use of symbols there isn't anything about care and use of the toy which could be unsettling for someone who doesn't know much about toys.

The back also explains that the Superstar Vibe was created for the Vivid girls. Each one was asked their favorite color and feeling. They replied, "Royal blue, orange, hot pink, fuschia and ribbed." So the toy comes in four different colors which is always great for someone who doesn't care for the basic pink that a lot of toys come in.

Finally, the side of the package goes over some more of the same basic information in different languages.

When I first received the Doc Johnson Superstar Vibe I was very excited. The color and firmness of the toy was the thing that got me going the most. I used it a couple of times without many problems. The only thing that annoyed me was that when I twisted the dial to turn the speed up, the cap would sometimes come off and the batteries would come out. Well, one day while using it, I went to turn the speed up. Apparently I didn't have a good hold on the cap which is spring loaded to hold the batteries in. The cap shot out of my hand like a rocket, hit the wall, and landed somewhere on the floor of my room. When I finally found it I tried to twist it back onto the toy. However, the cap had been damaged from it's crash landing and now had a number of cracks in it. As I twisted it on plastic pieces began to fall off of the cap making it impossible for it to hold the batteries inside. That was the end of that toy!
