Something old and something new
The MiMi is discreet in appearance, size, and sound and it offers intense, rumbly vibrations. I don't know if it's worth it's $80 price tag, but I'm glad I got it.
Published:
Pros
quiet, small, discreet, rumbly vibrations
Cons
buttons are hard to press, for the price, it'd have been nice if they included a little storage bag
The MiMi is an incredibly popular toy with tons and tons of reviews, so rather than cover each aspect of the toy broadly but vaguely, I'm going to focus on the things that stuck out to me or that I found interesting or noteworthy.
First, a quick overview:
MiMi is a waterproof, silicone vibrator with five pulse/pattern settings at varying speeds. The following is a very subjective list of what the patterns are like, and I'll explain in a moment why it ends with "I think."
Levels 1-5 are classic steady vibrations at an increasing frequency.
Level 6 is has a pulsing pattern with about one pulse per second.
Level 7 - pulsing pattern, about twice as fast as the level 6.
Level 8 - roller coaster pattern
Level 9 - Slower pulse; similar to level 6, but different.
Level 10 - I don't even know but this is amazing. I really don't know how to describe it - it's almost like it's revolving in a little circle. It's not like the other patterns at all.
... I think.
The primary issue, one that is oft-mentioned in these reviews, is that moving forward or backward isn't really easy to do with this vibrator. Sometimes I will click and nothing will happen, or I'll click a bunch of times and miss a stage. Cycling isn't easy - if you want to go from level 10 to level one, you just have to click the plus sign again once, but if you want to go from level one to level 10, you have to click the plus sign repeatedly; the logical design choice would have been to go from level 1 to level 10 by pressing the minus sign once, but I suppose that was something that was overlooked.
Another thing that bugs me a little bit is the battery life. I don't think there's anything really wrong with the battery life, but I think I have been spoiled by the battery life of my previous toy, the Ultimate Massager. I've used that toy well over a dozen times and I haven't had to replace the batteries. With this one, I could only use it about 9-10 times (perhaps an hour and a half total of usage) before it had to be charged. This is my first rechargeable toy, so I really don't know if this is considered the norm or if it's better/worse than other toys. Fortunately for me, it died right after I was finished using it. If it had happened a minute or two earlier, I'd have probably hurled it against the wall.
On the positive side of things, I give this toy a 9/10 on the level of discreetness, which is the highest mark I can give to a toy of this power and low noise level. I really can't get over how small toy is. Although it's not the smallest toy I own, it's probably about half the size I anticipated it being. In terms of length and width, it's definitely smaller than a mac mouse. It's smaller than my phone, so anywhere my phone can fit, this awesome toy can fit, too.
For people with roommates or thin walls or paranoia, this toy is awesome in terms of its noise level. Although it gets two bees instead of one, I feel far more comfortable using this toy in my dorm than I have with my other toys.

Nice review! I love MiMi I just got her few weeks ago. I to think for the price she should come with a storage bag! Would be really nice if it did, better for travel that way.

I do agree that a storage bag would have been great with this particular toy. Thanks for your review.
