Something different, something special

I had serious doubts about how this toy would perform, but it delivered in a big way! The sensation provided by the fluttering membrane is unlike anything I've ever felt, and I can't get enough of it. The orgasms this toy gives me are out-of-this-world. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try something a little different.

First impression

I'll be honest, I was extremely skeptical about this toy from the get-go. I was curious about the pulsating membrane, but it was just so different from any other rabbit I'd tried, I didn't know how well it would work for me. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get it positioned properly (all my other G-spot toys stimulate a much wider area via vibration, thrusting, rotating, etc., so you don't really have to target the G-spot all that precisely in order for them to stimulate it), or that even if I did get it in the right spot, its internal stimulation wouldn't be intense enough to get me off. I went back and forth on whether to order it at all, but ultimately my curiosity (combined with my reviewer discount) won out over my skepticism, and I decided to go for it. And good lord, I'm so glad I did!

The Pulse arrived on time with several other purchases in Eden's usual innocent-looking brown shipping box. Even the sender (Web Merchants, Inc.) won't give any nosey neighbours or housemates a clue about the nature of what's contained inside your package, so those with privacy concerns can rest easy! The Pulse itself was contained inside a simple sealed plastic bag, along with a black USB charging cable and a black mesh drawstring bag for storage. The Pulse is available in two colours: a bright magenta/purple, or a sort of hot salmon pink. I chose the pink, mainly for variety, since I already have so many purple toys.

Upon removing the Pulse from its shipping bag, I was immediately impressed by the smoothness of the silicone that covers the entire toy. It's very silky and smooth as butter, with little to no drag as you run your fingers over it. This toy has three buttons: a middle button that turns the toy off and on, a top button which cycles through the pulsation settings on the head of the shaft, and a bottom button that controls the vibration in the clit attachment. The Pulse also comes with an attachment that fits over the head of the shaft, with a hole that you line up over the pulsating membrane. This allows the toy to double as an air pulsation clit toy, which I thought was a really neat, creative feature.

Like all Eden-brand toys I've purchased, the Pulse arrived with a charge, so I immediately turned the toy on by pressing the power button (you don't have to hold it down, you just quickly press it) and decided to check out the pulsating membrane feature. I had the attachment on the shaft and turned on the pulsation. I held my finger over the hole in the attachment and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it felt very similar to my Satisfyer Pro Penguin (an air pulsation clit toy) against my finger, which I thought boded well for how it would feel on my clit (I love my Penguin). I removed the attachment, so I could better examine the pulsating membrane. It looked pretty weird, I have to say. The membrane sort of flutters rapidly up and down, and has three settings to choose from: a slower setting, a faster setting, and a setting that alternates between the slower and faster pulses. It was definitely different from anything I'd tried before, but my skepticism remained. Next, I turned my attention to the clit attachment. This attachment is also different from any I've tried before. It wasn't shaped like an animal, but rather than just being a vaguely thumb-like nub, or having long, flexible ears, it had two short little prongs projecting out of the end of it. The prongs have some degree of flexibility but are fairly firm. I clicked the button to turn on the attachment's vibrations and cycled through its modes. It seemed to have two different intensities of steady vibrations, plus about 10 different patterns to choose from. I discovered that it was possible to turn the shaft and clit arm on and off independently (without turning off the toy) by holding down the relevant button for a few seconds, which was a feature I really liked.

The clit attachment is flexible where it attaches to the shaft (although the bulged part that contains the motor is firm), but the shaft was quite firm and solid, with no squish or flexibility at all (though I usually expect that from powered toys, so I wasn't concerned by that). The shaft has an insertable length of about 5 inches, and a circumference of about 4 1/2 inches at the widest point, so I'd say it's about "medium-sized" as far as rabbits go. The clit attachment measures roughly 2 inches in length, including the prongs.

Overall I was definitely curious to give this toy a try, but I was still unsure about how well we'd get along.

First Use

Despite my skepticism, I was intensely curious to see what this weird little toy could do, so I charged it fully and then took it off to the bathroom sink for a quick wash. As this toy is covered in silicone (10/10 on Eden's safety scale, hypoallergenic, and nonporous, so it won't harbour any bacteria, body fluids, or other nasties), it can be easily cleaned using either toy cleaner or a mild soap and water (I use toy cleaner). Since it has mechanical parts, it cannot be boiled or run through the dishwasher (doing so would ruin its mechanics), but if you feel the need to fully sanitise it, you can clean it with alcohol or a 5-10% bleach solution (just make sure to rinse thoroughly). I've found that the indentation around the membrane has a tendency to trap lube and body fluids, so when cleaning this toy after using it, I recommend using something like a soft-bristled toothbrush or textured cloth to clean that part of it.

Once my toy was charged and clean, I took it back to my bedroom and settled down on my bed on top of a towel, with my head and upper body propped up on a pile of pillows. I wanted to see how the shaft attachment worked, so I attached that and, as usual, pulled up a sexy short story on my phone to get the juices flowing. I turned on the pulsation feature to its slower setting and positioned the hole of the attachment over my clitoral area. I initially had a bit of trouble getting a proper seal, so I added a little bit of water-based lube (as this toy is silicone, do NOT use silicone-based lube, it's safest to stick to water-based), which seemed to help. The sensation it provided was very gentle but pleasurable. It felt similar to the lowest setting on my Satisfyer. It felt nice and was good for teasing, but even on the faster pulsation setting, it was nowhere near intense enough to get me off on its own. However, it did do a good job of getting me nice and aroused, so once I was nice and wet, I decided to see what this weird membrane thing could do for my G-spot.

I threw aside my phone and removed the shaft attachment, applied a bit of lube to the head of the shaft, and slid it into my vagina. It slid in easily and comfortably. I turned the clit arm on to its lower steady setting, and then turned on the membrane on the shaft. It took me a little bit of fidgeting to get everything lined up on the right spots, and when I did....WOW! I was surprised at how good that pulsating membrane felt when it was fluttering against my G-spot. The stimulation wasn't knock-my-socks-off intense, but it was definitely more substantial than I'd expected. It was a very unique sensation that was unlike anything I'd ever felt. It almost felt like someone gently fluttering their finger at super-human speed against my G-spot. That's the best way I can describe it. I turned up the clit arm to its higher-intensity steady setting, and discovered that I really enjoyed the membrane setting that alternated back and forth between slower and faster pulsating. I sat back and just enjoyed the unique, pleasurable sensations rolling over me for several minutes. Slowly but surely, I felt myself becoming more and more worked up, and I started to gently thrust the toy in and out of my pussy....and that fluttering membrane hitting different spots inside me felt amazingly good! Before long I was moaning and writhing, and I stopped thrusting and just pressed the pulsing membrane into my G-spot for several minutes while the clit arm buzzed me externally, and finally found myself enjoying a beautiful, shuddering orgasm that washed over my entire body in a series of waves.

I was beyond impressed by my first experience with this toy. I never expected to enjoy it this much.

Further Experience

Further use of the Pulse has yielded similarly explosive results. I find that this toy doesn't get me off nearly as quickly as many of my other toys. It's more of a slow burn, where it gradually teases me into a frenzy, and then gently but firmly pulls me over the edge into an intense climax that causes my thighs to shake and my eyes to roll back in my head. It's unlike any other toy I've ever experienced, in the best possible way! I can't get enough of that weird membrane thing fluttering against my G-spot. It really is divine.

I find the shaft attachment to be kind of so-so. I wouldn't recommend getting this toy primarily to use as an air pulsation clit toy. There are far better options on the market that will provide a much more intense, complete experience if that's what you're interested in. However, I do like it when I can use the head of a rabbit to tease myself until I'm aroused enough for penetration, and I find that the attachment works very well for those purposes. It's more of a tool for teasing and foreplay and less of a "finisher," if that makes sense.

The only minor complaint I have about the design of this toy (and it is very minor) is that those little prongs on the clit arm can be vaguely pokey at certain angles. I actually really like them when I get them positioned properly on either side of my clitoris, but if they hit the wrong spot at the wrong angle, they can be vaguely uncomfortable. It's not something that detracts at all from my enjoyment of this toy, but I could see it being an issue for someone with a super sensitive clitoral/labial area that's prone to be irritated by pokey things, so I figured I'd mention it.

I find this toy to be very quiet when it's inserted, but the pulsating membrane makes a bit of a strange mechanical sound that's louder when it's not inserted. Still, I doubt it could be heard through a closed door, so I'd say this toy is a pretty good choice for those who are concerned about discretion.

All in all, I highly recommend this toy, especially to anyone who is curious to try a new sensation on their G-spot. It really is unlike anything else I've ever felt, and I can't get enough of it!

Vibration Map

The clit attachment is the only part of this toy that vibrates, and I'd classify it as sort of medium-strong on its higher intensity. It's not the absolute most intense clit stimulation, but it gets the job done. I'm marking the clit arm as a 3, since that's the only real vibration, and the membrane as a 2, because even though it doesn't vibrate, it provides great G-spot stimulation. Virtually no vibration can be felt in the handle, which is nice.
  • Very mild, low level vibration
  • Moderate vibration
  • Strong and easily felt vibration

Orgasm Intensity

My orgasms from this toy are incredibly intense! It takes a little longer than with some of my other toys, but it's an amazing journey to get there, and the payoff is worth the extra time expended.

Follow-up commentary
I still absolutely adore the Pulse. It's one of my very favourite rabbits, and I typically use it multiple times a week. It may not get me off quite as fast as some of my other toys, but it's time well-spent, and it never fails to give me stellar orgasms. I don't really use the shaft attachment much, just because I have better air pulsation clit toys in my toybox, but as far as dual stimulation toys go, this continues to be one of my favourites. If you've ever been curious to try a rabbit that does something other than vibrate, I highly recommend giving Pulse a try.
