Softer than it looks

Emma's Water Rose isn't a bad toy, it just isn't my bucket of sunshine. The vibrations are deep and strong enough to get the job done, but the softness of the toy takes away from that. The toy offered me only light G-spot stimulation. However, it still works well for penetration and clitoral stimulation.

Use

Emma's Water Rose is a G-spot vibrator that is great for beginners in the sense that it is flexible and offers light G-spot stimulation. On the other hand, it is a girthy toy, which is one of the reasons I chose it. The motor is placed in the small of the curve and the vibrations travel well throughout the entire body of the toy. The Water Rose can be used to externally stimulate the entire genital region, but it is a bad option for anal play due to its material, girth, and shape.

Material / Texture

Emma's Water Rose is made of soft TPR silicone. The toy is flexible but firm, and it has a light rubber smell to it. The "Rose," as I like to call it, is a super dust, lint, and pet hair magnet. Within an hour of being out of its shrink wrap, there was already a light coating of dust on the toy. Up to this point, I have been keeping it in the plastic insert that came in the box to avoid this problem.

On another note, it is only safe to use water-based lube with this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

Emma's Water Rose is designed to resemble a rose, as it has "leaves" near the base and a rosebud-shaped head. That is where the similarities end. The toy is quite girthy at 1 3/4 inches wide. I am pleased with the size of this toy, as it gives a very full feeling. On the other hand, I was disappointed at how flexible it is. Even with lube, I have a very hard time inserting it because it wants to bend at the neck rather than just go in. After I finally get the toy inside, I have a hard time knowing which way it is pointed.

I don't really feel much extra pressure on my G-spot. When it comes to the vibrations, this toy surprised me. Emma's Water Rose offers deep, rumbly vibrations that travel well throughout the entire length of the toy. The volume of this toy is fairly low, as the soft TPR acts as a muffler to the motor's noise.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Emma's Water Rose is very simple to use with its single push button control on the base. The button is pretty easy to push, but don't worry -- the toy has a wide base, giving you a place to put your fingers where they aren't directly on the button. The Water Rose takes two AA batteries that you can see during use since the toy is clear.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is fickle and requires cleaning, both before and after each use. Dust, lint, and pet hair all stick to it. It is best to store it in some type of container that dust won't get into if you don't want to wash it before you play. Since Emma's Water Rose is a soft TPR silicone toy, you can use warm, soapy water or toy cleaner.

Packaging

Below is a link to a picture of the packaging. It is a pretty simple cardboard box with a window to see the toy. There is a plastic insert molded around the toy. My Water Rose also came shrink-wrapped. When I peeled the plastic off the vibrator, it left marks where the plastic stuck to the toy from heat shrinking. The marks on the toy were slight enough that I could not feel them when I ran my finger over them.

Personal comments

I thought that Emma's Water Rose was a little on the soft side for what it is supposed to do. I've had soft toys before, but this one was the softest. Perhaps a little more rigidity to the toy would have made it a whole lot better.

Experience

After cleaning the toy and using it for the first time, I was less than thrilled. I had a very hard time keeping it pointed the right way for G-spot stimulation, partly due to the soft nature of the toy. When it was inside, the pressure of my vagina seemed to straighten it out so that there was only minimal stimulation. I thought maybe I hadn't given the toy a chance, so I had my hubby use it on me. This experience was the same: I felt it in there, but it did not provide the extra pressure I was wanting on my G-spot. The feeling was more like a light tickle, if that makes any sense at all; and I don't like being tickled there.
