Soapy Strawberry
This strawberry-flavored lubricant is what you might call "middle of the road" in terms of function and taste. The lovely scent just doesn't quite carry through to the flavor, but as a lube it's not bad. Those who don't like the taste can still get some use out of it.

Pros
Works just fine as a basic lubricant, Glycerin-free, Paraben-free, PH balanced, Smells good
Cons
Doesn't last too long, Has a soapy aftertaste
Wet International's Naturals Sensual Strawberry (try saying that a few times fast!) is a water-based, flavored lubricant intended to smell and taste like strawberries. It's glycerin- and paraben-free, as well as PH balanced so as not to damage off the vagina's delicate anatomy, though some people may be allergic to the aspartame in it, or so I hear. I've also heard that this one is safe for diabetics to consume, but please consult the ingredients list and/or your doctor because I know next to nothing about diabetes!
First off, fuction: this is a good basic lubricant. It's relatively slick, and as a boost to your own natural lubrication it works just fine, and it doesn't feel sticky or unpleasant. It doesn't last too long, as is common with most water-based lubes, so reapplication may be needed for some people - especially during extended sessions. The bottle itself isn't too squeezable. The lube isn't very stubborn about coming out, so no big loss there. Being water-based, it's safe for pretty much any and all toys. It is non-staining, washes off of surfaces without a fuss and will be absorbed by the body after a time. However, the water base means that it will be pretty much useless in the shower or tub, so bear that in mind.
Now we come to the smell and taste. It smells very nice. It's not so much a strawberry smell as a candy-like smell, but it's far from unpleasant. Taste, on the other hand, is where it falls a bit flat. The initial flavor is fine, though again it doesn't specifically call strawberries to mind. After a second or two, though, you hit an aftertaste that I can only describe as "soapy." It's not much stronger than the main flavor, but it's definitely a bit of a shock when it first hits you, and it stays on your tongue longer. It's not too hard to get used to though, and licking for longer seems to negate it somewhat.
This lubricant has many fans, so if you're thinking about it I'd say it's at least worth a try. It's advisable to get the smaller bottle, though, until you know whether or not you like it.

Experience
Yes, this is the lube I purchased to go along with my Candy Cane. I'm mildly disappointed with the taste, but for smell and functionality I have no complaints. I'll use up what I have, but I probably won't get any more.
Sorry this review is short, but that soapy taste just perplexes me to no end. Interestingly, I find that another Wet lube - Wet Light - which isn't even intended to be edible, has a very pleasant taste, so I wonder what went wrong here. It could have something to do with the glycerin that the Light contains. Thankfully I'm not sensitive to infection!

Thank you for viewing Wet naturals sensual strawberry – lubricant discontinued review page!
Also, the aftertaste might be from the aspartame, I know artificial sweeteners usually give me a weird aftertaste.
Hmm... Soapy aspartame, you say? I'll have to remember that whenever I look for a flavored lube. Thanks!
