Sliquid Organics O gel is meant to be a clitoral stimulant. It causes a gentle tingling sensation that for some, may heighten sensitivity enough to make it easier/faster to reach orgasm, but will probably not be able to cause orgasm by itself. It’s not very strong, so it isn’t that overwhelming “pins and needles” sort of tingle that would be distracting. While this is good for some, it’s bad for those that need a more powerful boost.

While this product is listed as an “arousal lube,” it doesn’t really stay slick or tingly for more than 5 - 10 minutes, so it’s best to just focus the application of this gel around the clitoris, and use a different lube for penetration. For a play session lasting longer than 10 minutes, you’ll want to keep the bottle near by so you don’t have to stop in the middle of things to get up and grab the bottle for reapplication.

This is a gel, so it has a thicker viscosity than most lubes. It’s not runny, but as it heats on the skin, it does tend to thin out and become more watery. At the same time, it’s thin enough that it’s easy to pump through the little top. The top is a really nice feature, but I’ll get to that in the packaging section.

This is a smooth gel with no grittiness to it at all. When rubbed into the skin, it’s nice and slick at first, but because it’s water based, it dries out a bit and gets gooey/tacky after a few minutes of rubbing -- hence the need for frequent reapplication.

Like I said before, this works best when the application is focused on the clitoral area and a different lube (Sliquid Organics Warming is nice) is used to assist with actual penetration. Just keep in mind, if you’re really liberal with your other lube, it will dilute the O Gel, though the warming lube seems to help with arousal too.

This product is pretty close to being odorless and tasteless. There is a slight taste, but that’s just the peppermint, which definitely isn’t strong or unpleasant. It will, however, cause a light cooling/tingling sensation on the tongue of the person who licked it.

It smells similar to a peppermint tea bag, but more muted. It is really a very light smell that you’d only notice if you were sniffing the bottle or performing oral on the wearer. Again, not strong or unpleasant, but it is there.

As I said before, this gel doesn’t bring about super strong sensations. It’s really more of a gentle cooling/tingly feel. It’s nice, but it’s not the sort of thing where you’re going to apply it and immediately be on the brink of climax. All you need is a drop the size of a small pea for each application, unless you want to have enough to coat the entire exterior of your genitals.

I’ve discovered that it provides a nice little boost when you need help warming up, and the tingling sensation does help to speed things along when I’m trying to reach orgasm whether it’s with my partner or solo.

Cleanup is really easy since it absorbs into the skin nicely, leaving very little residue. All you need to do is wipe the area with a damp cloth, and then you’re good to go. Since it’s a water based “lube," it really doesn’t take much to wipe it away, whether you’re cleaning up after your session or if you just don’t like the sensations.

This gel comes in a 1 fluid ounce bottle (itty bitty!) with a silver pump-top and a cap (to prevent accidental pumping), which is wrapped in one of those fun little shrink-wrapped safety seals to prevent tampering. The top has a small opening, and it’s easy to depress it gently enough so that you only get as much of the product as you want, rather than a big messy blob. The packaging is fully recyclable, which is a big plus in my book!

From a distance, it’s hard to tell that this product serves a less-than-innocent purpose. Unless you read the label, you could mistake it for a facial serum or something. But if you’d rather stash it away somewhere, the bottle is easily small enough to tuck into a drawer while still keeping it upright. As far as I know, the bottle doesn’t leak, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

The label is pale pink with black and red/magenta text, and it has the Sliquid emblem at the top and in the background. There is an ingredients list along with a note about how it’s glycerin & paraben free, and some directions on how to use the product as well.

Here are a few fun facts:

-Because this product is 100% vegan, that means that it does not contain any animal bi-products, nor was it tested on animals.
-It’s water based, so it’s completely safe to use with latex condoms and all toys (no matter what material they’re composed of).
-Because it contains Almond Oil, those with nut allergies should be very cautious when it comes to using this product. It would probably be best to do a spot test on a less sensitive patch of skin (hand, for example) to check for allergic reactions before applying it to the genitals.

While I like this product well enough, it's not so powerful that I'm like "Oh my gosh! Everyone should own a bottle!"

The cooling/tingling sensations are nice, and they do help to increase arousal and make it easier to reach climax, but I think I prefer warming lubes more.
