Silver Balls, Silver Balls
If you've tried other kegel exercisers and want to give something different a try, these Silver Balls are a nice and inexpensive way to try out vaginal balls. They're easy to insert, though I had a hard time keeping them in. They can also be used during sex, just don't expect too much from these tiny little balls!

Pros
small and easy to store,
Cons
hard to keep in, can be nerve wracking the first time you try them
Silver Balls are a vaginal exerciser from California Exotics. They're designed to help strengthen the kegel muscles, by giving you something to clench against while doing your kegel exercises. A lot of women also experience pleasure from these types of balls, though for me I don't really experience that, especially not from these particular balls. Speaking of pleasure, another use for these balls is to use them during sex by inserting them beforehand and allowing the balls to rock against each other and kind of massage the area while having sex.
You might have heard of Smart Balls, or other larger and connected vaginal balls. I've tried Lelo's Luna Beads and Fun Factory's Teneo Uno, both which are larger and have a string to help with removal. This was the first time I'd ever tried ones like this. These balls are smaller (about the size of a marble, and I don't mean the shooter marbles, I mean the small marbles) and there is no string to connect them or to help with removal. To say I was nervous about trying these is putting it mildly. I did a lot of reading both before I ordered these and after I received them in the mail. These balls sat in my desk drawer for over a week before I finally got the nerve to even try them. A few things that helped put my mind at ease were a) what goes up must come down. I had gravity on my side and I knew that, and b) the vagina is not an endless hole and these balls could not go past the cervix. I've felt my own cervix before and I've used a Nuva Ring and Instead cups, both which require knowing your inner anatomy. I figured even if they did get stuck I could fish them out. Luckily all this preparation and psyching myself up was not even needed because the balls did not get stuck and I was able to easily push them out using my vaginal muscles.
In fact, I didn't even really feel that I got a good enough kegel workout with these balls just because gravity worked a little too well, and I had a hard time keeping them in when standing up or walking around. I am glad I only tried these out around the house the first time, because after sitting down a while I got up and I could feel one trying to make its way out! I've never had an issue like that with my other exercisers, though as I mentioned above, they are larger than these balls. I did feel that they helped with my kegel exercises while I was sitting though, and since they require more work to keep in they might even be more effective than the larger versions. I really had a hard time feeling them, and all I really felt was my muscles contracting. I have to say though, my muscles were more easily felt, so I think the feeling is just very mild with these in. As I also mentioned above I did not feel even the slightest twinge of pleasure from these, and I also never felt them bump against each other.
Cleaning these balls is easy, just use a little soap and water and dry them off. They're made out of metal, so you can boil them if you want to sterilize them or put them in the top rack of your dishwasher as long as you don't use any soap in that load. I'd imagine that's quite wasteful though, to run a whole load for two little balls. So, unless you have tons of toys you want to wash it's probably easier to just boil them if you need them sterilized. I did not need any lubricant to insert them, but if you do need lubricant, or you're concerned about lubricant when using these during sex, these are safe around any type of lube. They come in a cute little plastic box, like jewelry comes in. This box is great for storage, just make sure to keep them away from pets and children since they're small and are definitely a choking hazard.

Experience
Once I knew that these could be easily removed by just pushing down on my vaginal muscles I decided to go ahead and try them during sex. Well, ok I guess I'm getting ahead of myself here. First I tried them while using a dildo, just to make sure it would not feel pinchy. Once everything was ok with that I figured I'd try them in during sex. I've read that these balls can make for extremely orgasmic experiences both for the man and the woman, though for us it was a bit of a let down in the sense that I don't think it made much difference at all. It's quite possible that we were just expecting too much though after all the juicy things I've read about these online. So far we've used them during sex only twice, maybe once we get over the supposed hype we will have a better experience with them. I have to say though that at least there was no negative aspect of using these during sex. I was afraid they'd pinch or poke, and they did not.
