Screaming O? No.

This is one of those products I would recommend to people that are highly sensitive to cooling sensations. If you are very sensitive and most things burn, this will probably be just right for you. If you aren't particularly sensitive or you like long-lasting, or stronger sensations I would not buy this particular product. I was actually very disappointed. I liked the packaging and the container makes it easy to hide, but the sensation just wasn't there.

Use

This product is supposed to be a cooling stimulant that you can use on all your lady (or gentlemanly) bits. The box says "Apply to lips and kiss anywhere you's like to feel a cool minty sensation". If you're sensitive to cooling sensation this may be a milder one to use since it is a wax/oil combination that is solid rather than liquid. After trying it multiple ways, I think the best use was to stimulate a cooling sensation on my clit and inner labia. Although the minty sensation and tingly feeling on my lips and tongue is pleasant. My fellow didn't notice any significant sensations when he applied it to his bits. If your hands happen to be wet with water or lube the balm will "bead". Little bits of it will come up and get caught in the crease between the metal dish and the plastic holder.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture of this balm feels a lot like Carmex in the little tubs. Kind of waxy, a little greasy. In the container it's a little hard and you have to rub it for a few seconds to get the surface soft enough to get some of the balm on your finger tips. It does not pour out of the container and works the same as a lip balm would. It is still rather hard even if you warm it up by rubbing the surface for a minute.

Taste / Aroma

This balm smells wonderful. It's refreshing and minty: you can smell it as soon as you open the cap. I wish the sensation it gave was as powerful as the smell. The taste is very mild, I only get a hint of mint and I feel the menthol tingle more than anything else.

Performance

This product, in all honesty, sucked. And not in that good way. The application process is somewhat of a work out, you have to rub and rub and rub. Applying the balm to your fingers requires rubbing, getting the sensation to kick in on your sensitive bits takes even more rubbing: after which the sensation lasts maybe 5 minutes? Terrible really. Both of us are rather sensitive, the Yours and Mine lubes work well for us, mint flavored chapsticks have given us more sensation. It cleaned up easily at least. The best aspect of this product is that if you kept it in your purse it would easily pass for cosmetics. It might even work well if you are out somewhere and what a kind of cooling pick me up. Pay attention closely to this part; there are allergens in this!

Packaging

As you can see the box is not particularly large and is actually very attractive. No actual instructions came with it, but the box had the ingredients listed on a thin flap on the bottom. It also had a warning label on the back which says "This product is for adults only. To avoid injury or aggravation of preexisting conditions, this device should not be used on swollen or inflamed areas, or skin lacerations. No medical claims are warranted or implied by the use of this product. This product is sold as a novelty only".

In tiny print near the bottom of the box it says "This is not intended to be used as cosmetics".

Special Features

The most special feature about this product is that it is disguised as a cosmetic product. If someone were to find it lying around or hiding in your purse they would likely just assume it was some sort of make-up and toss it aside. The sensations, while they were minimal and did not last long, were both cooling and tingling which was nice.

Personal comments

I also tried this product on my outside labia, my nipples, my lips and all over my fiance's junk. I didn't feel anything on my outside labia or on my nipples. No sensation at all. My fiance did feel something but he said it was a mild cool feeling and nothing to write home about. When I rubbed the balm near my clit and the inner labia I did feel a mild cooling and tingling sensation that lasted perhaps ten minutes. Again, it was nothing to write home about.

Experience

When I first got this product I was pretty excited, but life happened and I had to lay it aside for much longer than I wanted to. I have periodically tried it for different purposes over the last week and found it quite lacking. At one point I felt very frisky and decided to try for a little self satisfaction, so I went to take a shower and left the balm on the counter by the sink. When I felt I was thoroughly warmed up and ready for some extra stimulation I stepped out and popped open the container. I tried to dry my hand a bit, but even that was not enough to stop the product from beading up and getting chunky. I couldn't get any of it on my fingertips even though my hand was mostly dry. Once I did finally manage to do so the product was lack luster in performance and not at all what I was expecting.
Follow-up commentary
Honestly, I have not learned to like this any more than I originally did. I've barely touched it since writing the review. If I want a little extra something (and I mean a little) I occasionally apply this to the clit area, and that is about all I do with it these days.

I'm still sorely disappointed that it looked so nice and was very discreet, but had a lackluster performance value.
