Sacred Sexuality, Stronger Love Muscles
The jury is still out when it comes to the Crystal Massage Egg’s effectiveness in building energy in your second chakra, but it is one way of feeling sexy and possibly toning your vaginal muscles.

Pros
option for those who prefer smaller vaginal muscle exercisers, no smell and easy clean-up
Cons
not suitable for size queens, sits low in the vaginal canal
Because the Crystal Massage Egg is quite literally the size of a small chicken egg, insertion is easy. The stone material holds lubricant well and little is required. Once inside, the Egg sits very low in the vaginal canal directly against the vaginal opening. At 0.3 lbs, the Egg's weight is similar to most other vaginal exercisers.
One way to think of the vaginal canal is as a series of bands wrapped around a hollow tube. The hollow tube is the vaginal canal itself and the bands are the muscles that Kegel exercises are designed to train. When these muscles are toned, they're able to grip the penis more effectively. Sex becomes better and the general consensus is that orgasms are significantly improved when these muscles are toned.
Due to its size and placement, only the lowest portion of these muscles actually come into contact with the Egg. The average vaginal canal is about 7-inches long. The Crystal Massage Egg is 2-inches long. Given these dimensions, less than one third of most women's vaginal muscles come into contact with the Egg. This is great if you are looking to target one very-specific set of muscles at the vaginal opening. If you are interested in toning the muscles throughout your vaginal canal, the Crystal Egg may not be the best choice for you.
The Crystal Massage Egg is designed to help women strengthen their vaginal muscles by providing resistance to the muscles when they are tightened. Just as a weight on your chest makes a huge difference when you're doing sit-ups, resistance within your vagina is said to make Kegels more effective. For me personally, the Crystal Egg was too small and sat too low in my vagina for it to be useful in this way. This might be a question of anatomical variance. If you are on the shorter end of the height spectrum and prefer more petite toys, it is certainly possible for the Egg to provide the resistance that would make it an effective tool for strengthening vaginal muscles. If you are tall (I'm 5'10") and are more comfortable with toys that have some girth (> 1.5 inches in diameter), then there is a chance you will not be able to feel the Egg.
The Egg has a long (approximately 4 inches), thin loop of string at its base. The manufacturer does not provide information on the string’s material, but it appears to be made either of plastic or natural fibers coated in wax. According to the package instructions, it is possible to attach a weight to the loop to add a new dimension to the Egg’s muscle toning properties. Increasing the Egg's weight would require the muscles around the vaginal opening to work harder to keep the Egg in, thereby toning them.
Removing the Egg is as easy as its insertion. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, “To expel your Egg™, take a deep breathe [sic] (squat if necessary), relax, and gently push down on the muscles. If by chance it doesn’t fall out easily, gently reach in and give it a nudge with your fingers.” I simply gave a gentle tug on the loop of string and the egg popped right out.
The Egg's material means that smell is in no way a concern. It may be cleaned with alcohol or soap and water.
