Rubs Me The Wrong Way
The bubbles and different functions on this toy are awesome! And would equate a 5 star toy... if it weren't for the lint this thing collects and the pain the ribs cause. Unfortunately these two things are big turn offs for me and makes this toy a 3 star toy.

What's This?
This is a traditional style vibrator that measures at 7 3/4 inches in length (6 insertable) with a 5 1/2 inch in circumference. It's made out of TPR silicone (silicone based rubber compound, which gets a 6 out of 10 on the EF safety scale), has a very nice soft plush head, ribs and "bubbles" running down the length of it. It is also hypo-allergenic, latex and phthalates free. It has a sticky feel to it with lots of drag, and is an avid collector of lint and hair. Straight out of the package it had a slight smell to it, but that has completely gone away with a washing and some air time; it has no taste to it. Also, upon retrieval the toy has a powdery coating to it, not sure what it is, but it washes away easy.
It came to me packaged in a cute black, pink, white, and grey box, with a window in the front and a brochure type opening in the back that provides more information and another view of the toy. The box encourages recycling and using rechargeable batteries. There are no pictures of half-naked people, or visible pictures of the toy on the box. The back of the box features some information on "Material/Hygiene," "Quality," Design," and "Application.” When the brochure style flaps are opened you see more information on the toy, instructions on how to use the toy, size information, and a list of the eight functions this toy has. When you open the box to take out your toy, you find it is nestled in a plastic blister case that is easy to open.
How Do I Use It?
Cupid Ripples is operated by a push button on the bottom of the toy and powered by two AA batteries. You have to go through all eight functions to turn the toy off. I find the bottom hard to unscrew, but inside you find instructions on how to insert the batteries. This toy has the basic low, medium, and high options; which are the first three choices, then there are:
4. roller coaster
5. long pulsations
6. short pulsations
7. strongest vibrations
8. a mix of all 7 mentioned above.
This toy has a round head that is 4 inches in circumference, and is the smallest part of the toy. After the head the "bubbles" and ribs start. The bubbles are like little balls where the toy gets slightly bigger, slightly smaller, slightly bigger than the last bubble, slightly smaller than the last smaller and then finally gets to its biggest size at 5 1/2 inches in circumference. It's meant for vaginal insertion, but can be used to massage other parts of the body, on the clit, or if you have a trusted partner with a firm grip you can use this anally, just don't try to use it anally by yourself as it does not have a flared base.
If you are going to share this toy, or go back and forth between anus and vagina please use a condom as this toy is porous. It can be used with water based lubes. Do not use silicone lubes with this toy because the materials can bond and mess up your toy. The toy does get a little noisy, but not so much where it can be heard after being inserted and through covers.
How Do I Wash It? Where Would I Store It?
You wash it before and after each use with the warm water and antibacterial toy cleaner or mild soap. The ribs can be a pain to clean, so if you don't have time to dedicate to the maintenance this toy demands you may want to look at other vibes. You cannot boil this or stick it in a dishwasher because it is electronic. Like I said this is slightly porous so don't share it without a condom. This toy is waterproof so you can take it in the shower, the bath, and don't have to be careful when washing. Just don't keep it submerged for long periods of time and make sure the lid is on tight before making contact with water.
You can store it in the blister pack it came in, a panty drawer, or anywhere else you deem special enough to hold your toys. Just keep in mind you do want to keep this up because it's not a discreet design. Also, you cannot store this with other silicone toys as the materials will bond and mess up your toys.

Experience
The vibrations on this one are strong. I love the different patterns. The plushness of the toy is awesome. And I love the head on the Cupid Ripples. But, yes there is always a but, the ribs rubbed me raw, made sex painful after play. The ribs did feel good on my clit, but for insertion this toy is a no go for me.
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I like using the tip of this on my clit occasionally, but the ridges and stickiness of the material really take away from the toy. I still can't stand the texture on this, and wish I could find a toy that had the same patterns but made of a different material and without texture.

Not too long, not too short — I really like reviews that get to the point, well done! You made great use of personalized, bolded headers. My only criticism is that at the start of the review there appears to be a slight contradiction: "It's made out of silicone... and is made out of TPR silicone."

Thanks, fixing that now.

Love the title!

Me too. I've been trying to get my personality into my reviews. I think I'm getting there. ^_^
