Pretty, but ineffective
While technically and visually impressive, this toy fails to perform. The vibrations are weak, and the controls are poorly done. The functions are so hard to get to, they're almost worthless. The ring clip pinches instead of squeezing, and does not help very much. Truly a case of style over substance.

Pros
Nice look, very quiet
Cons
Not very powerful, weird position, pinches
The one thing that you can't say about the PicoBong Koa is that it doesn't look good. While it may not be the best toy, it is at least very glamorous. It has a lot of good ideas that are held back by poor design decisions. It's really a shame that this toy isn't better than it is, as it has a lot of potential.
The packaging is small and modern, as is the toy itself. They include a dice with pictures of their 6 products on it, which is a bit of hubris if you ask me. It also comes with an instruction manual, which you will very much need should you use this product. It has a long list of functions, but the controls are so bad and unintuitive that I can't say we ever use them.
The vibrator part of the toy runs off of a single AAA battery, which is what contributes to most of the toy's size. They could have gone with a smaller battery, sacrificing convenience or battery life, but they chose to stick with the popular AAA. Unfortunately, this gives the PicoBong a very odd shape to it. It is long, but only to one side. Most cock rings with vibrators have the vibrator dead center where it can do some good with clitoral stimulation. The PicoBong, not so much. Having it off to the side makes it easy to knock off, and hard to get useful stimulation out of. The vibrator is very, very quiet, but not very powerful. The toy relies mostly on indirect vibration sent through the penis, but skin is not a good medium for carrying vibrations, and it is not powerful enough to overcome these limitations.
The controls for the toy are hidden(and I do mean hidden) behind the + and – symbols within the name on one side. They are both very tiny and hard to depress. The PicoBong has 12 vibrating functions, as well as an adjustable steady vibration. The functions are combinations of short and long pulses, as well as escalations. I'd list them all here, but they're all very similar and don't amount to much anyway. Unfortunately, to switch between modes, you have to crank the vibration to full, and then hold down the + button for 2 seconds. If there is a specific function that you want, you really have to queue it up beforehand and leave it there. There is no way to adjust the function on the fly without completely stopping the flow of the experience. Adjusting the vibration level is doable, but you'll mostly want it on full blast anyway.
The ring part is probably what distinguishes it most from other cock rings. Not necessarily a good thing though. Unlike the majority of rings, the PicoBong is a side clip. You don't have to slide it all the way down, and it can be put on and taken off with relative ease. Because of this though, it is not really a squeeze so much as a pinch. The pressure only goes on two points, and it does not really give the boost in performance that most cock rings strive for. It falls off fairly easily, and would probably not be appropriate for larger sized men. I am slightly above average, and it tends to pinch a bit for my tastes.
The material is mostly silicone, with the clip part being plastic. As such, the cleanup is very easy, with only soap and water or toy cleaner needed. Water based lubricants are recommended, to prevent degradation. It is also waterproof.
Overall, I can't say that I recommended this product. It fails in its goal of being a cock ring, sacrificing ease of use for actual performance. The vibrator is poorly positioned, and not very powerful. There are a host of functions, that are entirely too hard to use. It just doesn't come together as a well designed package.
