Despite the rhinestones not really being my style, I was drawn to the Pave Grace largely because of its adjustable intensity. I'd been wanting a nice clitoral vibe with that feature, and the Pave fit the bill while also appearing to have a nice size and shape, and checking all the other boxes that I normally look for in a toy (body-safe material, waterproof, rechargeable, etc.). Also, I'd never tried anything by Jopen before, and I was curious to test out one of their offerings.
The Pave Grace arrived early with several other assignments in Eden's usual nondescript brown box. The sender is listed as "Web Merchants Inc," so those with privacy concerns can rest easy. Inside this shipping box, the Pave Grace was contained inside a very nice white and teal cardboard box, with a clear plastic window that allowed you to see the product. It's not terribly discreet, but it calls the toy a "massager," and most of the writing doesn't specifically refer to it as a sex toy. Someone who's savvy to sex toys would obviously know what it was right away, but those not "in the know" might be fooled into thinking it's innocent enough, haha. Inside this classy box, the vibrator itself is held in a molded foam insert, along with a USB charging cable. There are some printed instructions and safety information underneath the foam insert.
I have to say, this is a lovely-looking toy! I was initially a little "meh" about the rhinestones, but they do give the toy a very luxurious, high-end look. The silicone is a lovely light teal colour and feels extremely soft and smooth. Its compact size and ergonomic shape make it fit nicely in the hand, and the narrow, bulged end where the vibrations are concentrated just begs to slip between your legs. It would make a lovely gift for someone special.
Next, I turned my attention to the toy's functions. The main function button is the large crystal on the top of the toy. Holding it down for a few seconds turns the toy on and off, and pushing it more quickly cycles through the toy's patterns. It has a variety of patterns from steady vibration, several speeds of pulsation, escalation, etc. The intensity controls are two buttons (one with a + and one with a - ) on the side of the toy. It has five different intensities to choose from. I noticed that there didn't seem to be a huge difference between the intensities. The highest intensity is definitely stronger than the lowest intensity, but it increases in very subtle intervals. I also found the placement of the intensity buttons to be a little awkward, especially when I held the toy the way I would hold it during use. Still, I liked that it had the intensity buttons at all.
The vibrations of the Pave Grace seemed decently strong on the highest setting and are more buzzy than rumbly. It's definitely not the most powerful toy in my collection, but it definitely seemed to have enough power to get the job done. It seemed like it would be a nice little toy to have in my collection, and I couldn't wait to give it a try!
