OhMiBod - A dud? Perhaps, Perhaps not.
If you enjoy strict clitoral stimulation, or just some very lovely foreplay, then this item is a must. But be wary of the motor dying, and be sure to buy lots of batteries as you will go through them fast.

Pros
Phthalates free, iPod enabled, easy to clean and store.
Cons
Motors die easily, goes through lots of batteries, horrible smell after removing the batteries.
Upon ordering my OhMiBod as my first true vibrator, I was excited and nervous. I waited, I believe, one week and it arrived at my house. When It arrived I all but ripped open the box, only to be let down. Don't get me wrong, when you see pictures of an OhMiBod, you think "wow that's kind of pretty". But when I actually held it in my hand, I thought "It could have been so much MORE". It seems to be made out of a fairly cheap plastic, but its durable... for now at least. Its also Phthalates free, which is a BIG plus in my book.
I looked past the disappointing view, and started to run my hands over it. Very smooth and cold, sending a shiver down my spine. I tend to be appealed to something with ridges, but the fact that this vibrator is iPod enabled was a big selling point for me. I love music and to have music incorporated into something so intimate is wonderful.
If you choose to use the normal built in settings, there is another cap for that. The built in settings include a very soft steady vibration, A medium steady vibration, A very strong steady vibration, a medium pulsation, and three others I just can't put into words. Seven built in settings in all.
After having used the OhMiBod for almost a month, the motor stopped working. I was going through batteries left and right, which is not something I wanted to be doing when "in the moment". Fortunately, after sending an e-mail to OhMiBod's customer care, they sent me a new one completely free of charge. My second one has lasted me a little over a month, and hopefully it will last a while longer.
As for the sound, its not exactly the most quiet and discreet thing out there even underneath a big comforter blanket. If you have room mates, or you happen to live with your parents or family, then this may not be the toy for you.
The only severe downside I have seen to this (other than the first ones motor dying) is the horrid smell that comes from it after you've used it and go to take the batteries out. It reeks of burnt plastic and heated metal, which is worrying.
Outside of the actually toy, when you purchase from OhMiBod you also receive a free membership type deal to view erotic photos. Which is not my cup of tea, but for someone else it could be just what they wanted.
Overall, my OhMiBod has done me justice, but it's most definitely not all that it's been cracked up to be.

Experience
OhMiBod seems to work best for me, when just using it as a clitoral stimulator. It would have worked great with a bigger toy being used for penetration.
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
After recieving a new OhMiBod after the first one's motor died, the second one's motor died as well. All together both vibs lasted me close to 3 and a half months. Quite frankly I'm dissapointed with this company. Boasting about something so new and inovative.... and it fails? Not something I look for in any thing I'm using.
I highly doubt I will be buying anything else from this company. If not forever, then for a very long time because a vibrator, or more broadly, a sex toy company is supposed to be something thats known for having good, quality products. This just is not one of them, sadly.
