The Hot Fire is a great vibrator. It is very cute, has a lot of functions, and is great on batteries. It is a great vibrator for almost anyone. People who don't like toys that resemble animals won't like this, since it is shaped like a fish. That personally didn't bother me. It is waterproof and has very easy to use controls. The only downside for me was the loudness of it. All in all it is a great vibrator.

Pros
Cute, powerful, variety of functions, push button controls, waterproof, great on batteries
When I first laid eyes on this I fell in love. The Hot Fire vibrator by Fantasy Toys is made to look like a fish. It has eyes, fins, and what looks like a smile. I like vibrators that are made to look like animals so this was a nice feature for me. Although this could scare some people because it does appear to stare at you while playing with it. It is very cute.
The Hot Fire vibrator is a traditional vibrator made out of TPR silicone material. This vibrator is great for solo or partner play. It is best for vaginal penetration as well as clitoral stimulation. I do not recommend this vibrator for anal play because of the lack of a flared base. It could get lost it there. My husband wanted to use it anally and I did have to hide it. He said he can't resist its cuteness, but that's an entirely different story, and I will spare you the details. This would make a great beginner's vibrator because it is easy to use and made of a pretty safe material.
The Hot Fire is made of TPR Silicone over plastic, which does make it very rigid. It has a very velvety feel to it and does have some drag when rubbed across the skin, which does feel good to most people. When used vaginally it would be smart to use a water based lubricant. The texture is great for both beginners or advanced users. It doesn't have any detectable smell or taste to it at all, which is very pleasant! TPR silicone is slightly porous so if sharing a condom would be recommended for use.
TPR silicone is made from a combination of chemical compounds and a small amount of silicone, usually 10% or less. It is phthalate free and slightly porous. It is a tasteless and odorless material.
The Hot Fire vibrator is a traditional style vibrator made to look like a fish. It has two eyes, a smiling mouth, and two long fins that extend the length of the toy. It is very rigid which makes it great for pin-point clitoral stimulation and vaginal insertion. If you like clitoral stimulation with a lot of pressure, then this is the toy for you, because the firmness of it allows you to do that. I like toys that are firm and this one didn't disappoint in that department.
This vibrator is 7 1/4 inches long, 5 1/2 inches of that length is insertable. The diameter at it widest point is 1 1/2 inches. I think the size is great for both beginners and advanced users, it really depends on what you are looking for. This toy is NOT discreet at all. It is easily recognized as a vibrator. So please put this away in a drawer or closet. I suppose you could travel with it. It is small enough to put in a purse or suitcase.
The Hot Fire is controlled by two push buttons at the base. It has a dedicated on/off button, and a function button that cycles you through the seven functions. There is also a light that goes on and off, and goes from red to green as you push the function button. The vibrations are felt throughout the toy and are not hand numbing. It has strong vibrations, but not the strongest out there. The controls are very easy to use and are in an easy to reach spot. The buttons are not hard to push, but also not easy enough that you could accidentally push them while in use. Here is a list of the functions:
1. Low steady vibration
2. Medium steady vibration
3. High steady vibration
4. Roller coaster
5. Long pulsations
6. Short fast pulsations
7. Escalating
This vibrator is very loud. It definitely could be heard through a closed door. So if you are looking for a toy that is quiet, this is not the toy for you. It kind of sounds
like a boat motor, just of course not as loud. It is waterproof and I did test this with a complete submersion in my tub, and it did survive and stayed dry inside. This vibrator takes two AAA batteries and so far is great on batteries. It is just as strong as it was the day I got it. I have had it for 2 weeks and have put it on for at least 30 minutes everyday just to give you an idea of the usage it has gotten.
The Hot Fire is easy to clean, and can be done so with a toy cleaner or warm water and a mild soap. TPR silicone is compatible with other materials, but just to be safe, I store mine in its packaging. Hey, you never know, better safe than sorry. It is a lint magnet too, so keeping it separated is a good idea. I do recommend only using water based lubes since there is silicone in the material and other lubes could break down the material.
Now onto the Hot Fire's packaging. Let me start by saying it is VERY ugly. It is your basic plastic box with a clear plastic tray in it. It comes with no directions, and has VERY basic information on the box. It tells you is has 7 functions. It tells you its waterproof, phthalate free medical grade silicone. Here is a picture of it.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it1 month after original review
This is one of my favorite vibrators. Its still on the same batteries as when I got it and its still running strong. The material is holding up well and I am having no problems with it as of yet.
