This is a fair value for the price. It's a great gift for a first timer, too. If you're more of an advanced toy user, then I wouldn't recommend you buying this product, as it will leave you highly unsatisfied.
The Jumbo Life-Saver could be great for internal vaginal use, and maybe even anal if you're careful and not worried about "losing" it. Anal should only be done at the users own risk, because this toy does not have a base. If you can hit your g-spot easily, then this product might just be great for that. I don't think that it's powerful enough for clitoral stimulation, though. It also just doesn't have the "pinpoint shape" for clitoral stimulation, either.
I think this product would make a great gift, or even a great first toy. It's not big; it's actually fairly small, which is why I say great for beginners. Use it solo, and to explore what you like! I didn't find this toy to be very great for couples play, because though it's small, it only got in the way.
The Jumbo Life-Saver is made out of plastic, which is an 8 on the safety scale. Plastic is hypoallergenic, non-porous, and phthalates free. I don't think that this product is unsafe in any way -- at least not from my experience with it. It's very smooth, and it's latex free, which is always wonderful. It's also odor and taste free. It's not flexible, and honesty? It feels like very cheap plastic. The plastic feels sleek, and it doesn't have any noticeable seams.
I think that the smooth texture, and the small size make this great for beginners.
The Life-saver is bigger at the top, and then it gets smaller towards the bottom. I was not such a big fan of this, because it just didn't provide the stimulation that I was hoping for. The head of the toy is more pointy than rounded, but it's not enough to provide pinpoint stimulation.
The size would most definitely be better for a beginner, or for someone that isn't looking for anything big, and likes their toys to be smaller. This toy is 7 1/4" in length, and 6 3/4" insertable, with a 3 1/4" circumference, and 1" diameter. It is very discreet, and very easy to hide due to the fact that it is not too large.
This product has got to have the weakest vibrations that I have ever felt. The vibrations are located in about the middle of the toy, and, unfortunately, they don't really travel throughout the rest of the toy. The vibrations were more rumbly than buzzy, and they were steady vibrations.
The toy is powered by 2-AA batteries, which it eats through very quickly. I had used the toy about three times before the batteries died out, so it goes through them fast.
The toy is switched on by a dial-base control at the bottom of the toy, which was easy to control. Even at the highest powered vibration setting that this toy has to offer, it is so weak. It's nothing compared to any of the other toys at the same price that I have felt. It's easy to use, though. It's also very quiet, to the point where you could probably use it in the same room as others without it being heard. T
Keep in mind that this toy is not waterproof. I wouldn't use soap and water to clean it, unless you're very careful. I'd use a toy cleaner, and I'd highly recommend cleaning the toy both before and after use. It's very easy to clean because of its simple design, and it doesn't feature any hard to clean areas. You can store it anywhere, which is also wonderful. As for lubricants, I found that it worked well with water-based lubes.
The Jumbo Life-Saver comes in a cute little snap button case that has the color of the candy Life Savers on it. The packaging says "BIG Life Super Saver". It doesn't have anything on it that would be embarrassing, or that would give away what it is. The packing can be used as a storage place, and it makes the toy VERY travel friendly.
Discreet looking packaging
Good for storage
Would make a nice gift
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it2 months after original review
This toy sucks. Enough said. The hard plastic and odd shape, along with the beyond weak vibrations, make for a terrible vibrator.
