Bullet vibrator
by Vibe Therapy

Not quite a Quantum Leap

A great toy for beginners or those with very sensitive clits. It didn't blow my mind, but it would be a good place to start.
Published:
Pros
Quiet, cute, multi-function, easy to use.
Cons
Weird battery, battery-guzzler, possibly not 100% waterproof, grooves in design are hard to clean.

Use

The Vibe Therapy Quantum is a pretty standard plastic bullet. It's mainly for clitoral use, though you could use it to massage the rest of the vulva and erogenous zones. Its discreet size keeps it from being much fun as a vaginal simulator, and its lack of a base means it is an absolute no-no for anal use; however, its size means maneuvering it between two bodies during partner sex shouldn't be a problem.

This vibe is buzzy, and it's about 2.5 vrooms and 1 bee on a full battery. So if noise is more of a concern than power, this would be worth checking out. Sorry, clits-of-steel, this little number will provide more frustration than satisfaction. The Quantum is best-suited for newbies and the very sensitive.

Material / Texture

The Quantum is made of shiny, pink, ABS plastic. This material is completely rigid, non-porous, phthalates-free, tasteless, and odorless. It has no texture to speak of, save for a single groove on the front of the toy that cannot be felt during use.

A benefit of plastic toys is that you can use any type of lube; water, silicone, or oil, none will harm this toy. Its sleek texture also means that it can be very slippery when lubed-up, so make sure to wipe off your hand after applying lube or the toy might slip away.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

As far as bullets go, the Quantum is fairly standard. It has a straight-forward design consisting of a small shaft, the twist-off battery compartment, and a single push-button. The toy is bubblegum-pink with creamy-white accents from the button on the base and a squiggle design where the battery cap meets the shaft.

Length: 3-1/4 inches
Circumference: 2-3/4 inches at its widest part
Diameter: 3/4 inch

This toy is labeled as waterproof and does have an O-ring; however, I've noticed that when the battery cap is securely connected there is a gap between it and the body of the toy. Also, after being washed, I've found water in the threading of the compartment. I'd say this vibe is splash-proof, so you could take it in the shower if you wanted, but I wouldn't take it in the bath.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Considering the price and type of this vibrator, I was pretty impressed with the variety of functions. This, coupled with its price and light vibrations, make it a great toy for new users since they can play with the different settings and find what they like. The Quantum has seven settings:

- Three pulsating speeds: I found these to be the most powerful setting on this toy and think they feel similar to an electric toothbrush.

- One escalating setting: Like a less-powerful phone vibration setting.

- Three speeds of constant vibration:
1. Light, buzzy, slowest, pulse setting.
2. Noticeably faster.
3. A few notches faster.

One big con for this toy is its awkward battery. The vibe runs on one N battery, which is included with the toy but is a pain to find in stores. From what I gather, your best bet is to get them here, at EF, or from an electronic specialty store website. They're also pretty pricey--the cheapest I could find was $4 for a 2-pack. Even storing the toy with the battery removed, the battery was drained in about 5 uses.
    • Battery guzzler
    • Discreet sound
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

Plastic is about as easy as it gets when it comes to caring for toys. Wipes or a rinse under the tap with soap is all you need. Since it's non-porous, you could share it, but since there's a bit of space between the squiggly detail and pink body that can be hard to clean, I would pop a toy-cover or condom over the toy, just to be on the safe side. When you're done cleaning it, dry it off, take the battery out, and store it for next time. Remember to store your toys carefully so they don't hurt each other.

Packaging

The packaging was cute and minimal: cardboard flaps with a small plastic cover. The toy came with two comprehensive manuals: one concerning the battery and toy care, and the other more to the point, "this is a vibrator, have fun" instructions. What I like about these manuals compared to other brands is that it doesn't tiptoe around saying what the product is. No "not for internal or genital use" to be found. I know those are there for legal reasons, but it's still funny to me.
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable
    • Very informative

Personal comments

This was my first bullet-style toy and, though it was a bit weak for me, it got the job done. I think this toy would be great for people who need a very quiet vibe and don't need much horsepower. Thanks to EdenFantasys for letting me review this toy!

Experience

It's hard enough for me to get-off with just a strong clitoral vibe, so I knew going in I would need a vaginal toy in conjunction with this. After some build-up, it worked but didn't do anything I couldn't have just done with my hand.

Wow, 2 vrooms? Anything under a GOOD 3 is just such a waste. Sorry this was a bust for you.
