Nipple clamps discontinued
by PHS International

Not much luck

These nipple clamps didn't work for me because it's typically difficult for me to get my nipples hard enough to wear an item such as this. However, they are pretty, and if you like the design, I would say go for it and get yourself some pretty nipple jewelry.

Use

I think these clamps would be excellent for anyone whose nipples get nice and hard or at least firm, but they didn't really work for me. My nipples are extremely shy, apparently, so I was unable even to get the clamps to go on.

That being said, I do like the rubber tips, and it seems like they would feel nice if I could actually get them to work. They have the potential to be good labial clamps too, although I haven't tried that yet.

I wouldn't suggest wearing these under clothing, as they're a few inches long and would likely be very obvious under a shirt and no doubt uncomfortable under a bra. However, they're very pretty, so if you're home with a partner, want to take sexy pictures, or at a location where nudity is encouraged, they would make lovely nipple accessories.

You may also wish to wear them as a unique pair of earrings:

Material / Texture

The rubber tips are firm and smooth, and would probably feel nice pressed against a sensitive surface such as nipples. I could easily see these being used for sensation play, either as a tool for soft caresses, light pinches, or both.

However, because of the small surface area, the potential for the amount of pressure applied is great, and would probably cause a moderate amount of pain (or in my case, a lot of pain, because I'm very sensitive and a very, very, very light masochist). As such, I would *not* recommend these for a beginner. It seems like you have to put them on pretty tightly to get them to stay on, and it hurts even more when you take them off.

The clamps themselves, and the ring used to tighten the clamps, are made of smooth, hard, silver metal. The material is neither unpleasant nor anything special. Finally, the beads appear to be plastic, somewhat oval in shape, but faceted (like a diamond in a ring) rather than smooth and round.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The clamps consist of two main parts: the functional part that clamps onto the nipple, and the decorative part which consists of two beads and one round spiral of metal that dangle from the end of the clamp.

The clamp part is like a set of tweezers, with enough give in the metal to squeeze the tips tight together when you pull the ring up tight to hold them there, but strong enough to apply pressure and stay tight once let you let go. The weakest part of the clamps seems to be the ring used to tighten it, which is not closed all the way and therefore has a slight gap. I wouldn't be surprised to see it give way during use, although as I mentioned, I haven't been able to use them with my shy nipples.

Rubber tip

The clamps are tipped with a bit of firm black rubber. Although the rubber tips themselves are sturdy, I've experienced them slipping off rather easily while playing with them with just my hands.

Dangling beads and swirl

For the two beads, the first is a pretty translucent purplish color, while the second is mostly clear with a bit of a bluish hue. The plastic looks fairly cheap; it's very lightweight, not very hard, and you can see the seams where the beads have been formed. It looks kind of like costume jewelry, although it's pretty enough from a distance.

Functions / Performance / Controls

These nipple clamps clamp down via a small metal ring that you slide up the tweezer-like part, pushing the rubber-tipped tips together (or around the nipples or other body part). The rubber tips slip off easily, though I doubt they would do so while in use.

The main constriction from these clamps would come solely from the tightening of the tweezer part. The beads are extremely light and probably would not contribute any weight to the clamps, so if you want weighted clamps, these are not the ones for you. The beads are purely decorative.

Packaging

The clamps come in a flat oval package that pops open when you pull the front and back apart. The front of the package is clear, allowing you to view the clamps, so this package is not discreet. Also, the front of the package has a picture of a busty woman in a bra leaning forward sexily (I suppose), and says "Beaded Nipple Clamps" in the corner, so there's not really any mystery about what's in the package.

The back is colorful with pictures of similar nipple clamp products, each with a different dangling decoration. The back also includes the following text:

> Fashionable.

Inside is a circular piece of plastic with indents that fit and display the clamps very nicely, which also works well for storing them, although I wouldn't worry about storing them loose with other similar (or dissimilar) items.

Personal comments

For those not familiar with nipple clamps, the attraction is not simply how they look or how they feel while they are on. The initial pain of putting on nipple clamps is nothing compared to when they come off; the blood rushes back into the areas that were previously clamped, causing the flesh to throb painfully. The pain is greater the tighter the clamps are and the longer you leave them on.

I'm not a big fan of nipple clamps for this reason, so maybe these weren't the best purchase for me. Although, to be fair, I didn't pick them out myself; I let my long-distance FWB choose one toy for me after I chose three for myself, and these were the ones she liked. What can I say? I'll try (almost) anything once.
Follow-up commentary
My dislike for this toy is purely based on my inability to use it since I have a hard time getting my nipples to get hard. If you're the same, I wouldn't get this toy.

However, if you're able to get your nipples hard, then please don't make your decision based on my review. A review from someone who was actually able to use them would probably better help you make a decision of whether or not to buy these.
