I ordered this vibrator because 1) it was free, and 2) it's waterproof, unlike my Hitachi of course. Let me just say that I'm incredibly glad I only paid for shipping for this (although now I wish I didn't even spend my money on that), because the thing doesn't even work!

When I first opened the vibe, I grabbed some new batteries for it right away so I could test it out. It turned on, but only at the highest speed. Anything lower than that and there were no vibrations whatsoever. Still, I liked that it was quiet but still seemed powerful enough to keep me interested.

After the second or third time I tried to turn it on though, nothing happened. I know that the batteries were new (fresh from the package) and I know that they were in and it was closed correctly since it (sort of) worked initially. I hadn't overused it either; I only had the thing on for a few seconds at a time. A little bit later, I revisited it and replaced the batteries. It turned on again for a couple of seconds, but quickly died down after that. So, after repeating this pattern a few times, I eventually just decided to give up for the night.

So what gives? I'm not completely clueless when it comes to simple technology like this...I know I'm not doing anything blatantly wrong with this vibe. Has anyone else had problems like this or did I just get sent a dud? Because I was looking forward to testing the thing out and now I'm just a little frustrated. As a free item I didn't have high expectations - I just figured, "why not give it a try?" - but even so, I was really disappointed by this item.
