Jewelry for your most private of areas, and only you will know about it! That knowledge in itself makes these little treasures even more special to me. This was my very first product from LELO and unlike some kegel exercisers, these really are pleasurable to wear.

At first glance, these things seem huge. However, I can assure you that in use they are very comfortable and there are bigger products out there.

These balls are great for beginners because there are so many ways to wear them! You can wear one ball at a time or two with the included girdle and there are two separate weights.

I say these are little to no effort required because the weighted balls that are inside the bigger plastic balls cause your muscles to contract with movement. That being said, these balls are most effective when you are moving around! If you don't want to move around, you're going to have to physically contract and relax your muscles around the balls to work your kegels.

The pleasure beads themselves are made from glossy, body safe ABS plastic. The retraction cords are made of what looks to be nylon covered plastic wire anchored very firmly into the plastic of the beads. The included girdle is made of white, body safe silicone.

All in all, this whole system is very smooth. The girdle does not provide any noticeable extra girth. This is hard material so it may take a bit of getting used to for some. Within one use, I was in love!

You can see the weights in the beads themselves if you look closely, this does not ruin the aesthetic value of the beads for myself.

The material covering the retraction cord makes it much more comfortable to pull out. The retraction leash is quite thin and without the fabric covering, I suspect would really dig into fingers if it was not there.

Here's what is included in the box in terms of the actual pleasure bead system: two pink beads (one with a retraction cord) that are 28 grams each in weight, two blue beads (one with a retraction cord) that are 37 grams each, the flexible white silicone girdle with hole for one bead with a retraction cord to go through.

The design of the system is such that you can wear:
one pink bead (use the one with the retraction cord for safety)
one blue bead (with the retractions cord)
both blue beads
both pink beads
one pink bead and one blue bead
one blue bead and one pink bead

To use two beads at once, you simply thread the retraction cord of a bead through the hole in the girdle and place the bead in the girdle. The girdle does stretch a bit in order to do this and there are little designs on the INSIDE of the beads to indicate how the girdle should fit on the bead. This means there are no grooves in the surface of the material for nasty little bacteria to collect. Place the second bead (the one without the retraction cord) in the second space in the girdle and voila!

Now the beads are about 1.5 inches wide and with the girdle, approximately 3.5 inches long. Honestly, think of a golf ball (or go get one!) and these balls are half of the size of that. Really not bad at all. The Smart Balls by Fun Factory according to the dimensions on the site are actually bigger and longer. The retraction cord is long and very flexible to allow for easy use. You will not lose the balls with the retraction cords inside you. Because these balls are so big, I had no problem holding them in; I actually used my PC muscles to move them into the optimal position for my body before commencing with my activities and letting them do the real work.

The design of these balls is something to keep in mind. If you are an active person in the slightest, or busy during the day doing errands etc, these balls are awesome. I will explain better in the Performance section.

These balls are so pretty, there is no way they can be intimidating to use. The only caution I have is because these balls are not the kind you really need to actively hold in your body (the only people I can think of that may need to work at it would be women who have had or recently had children or surgery; anything that may have affected the performance of the PC muscles); if you are going to use just one ball, make sure it has the retraction cord. I cannot fathom relaxing myself enough to have these come out on their own without the retraction cord, and I have tried. Even if you can, it is just a safety suggestion for added piece of mind!

Ahhh, my favourite part! Teehee! These balls feel great when you wear them! They are shorter than some of the kegel systems out there, so if you do sit down while wearing them, they are really comfortable. The cord is also barely noticeable because it is so soft and flexible. They variety of ways you can wear them will also change the way they feel.

If you wear the heavier, blue ball at the front of your vagina, it will feel different than wearing the pink at the front and vice versa if you have them at the back. And two balls will feel different than one.I personally wear two beads at a time because I get stimulation at the front of my vagina and around my g-spot this way! Experiment and find which combo works best for you!

Honestly, you won't even feel like you're working those PC muscles! Which has you asking, well then what is the flipping point?! Well, after a little while, I personally found that there was a slight feeling of...tiredness down there. At that point, I take them out and relax. The whole experience with these balls is like getting massaged. I won't say that you'll have an orgasm with them in, but you might (everyone is different)!

My favourite place to wear these beads, no matter which configuration I have chosen is when I do cardio. At the gym or at the park, running and walking with these balls in feels so wonderful. You can walking the dog, take the kids to the park and run around with them, clean the house, do yoga or Pilates (also fun). As long as you are moving, they will be working and making you feel special.

The fact that there are so many ways to wear these balls means that you will not need to purchase another set of kegel balls (unless you know, you want to (; ).

Oh! An in case you want to know, you may feel like you can "hear" them because when they are not inside you and you shake them, there is a sound. I will assure you that no one will hear these balls jiggling inside of you.

Care is super simple for these beads. Like any toy, you should clean them before and after use. When you are done using them, I definitely recommend taking the balls out of the girdle and washing all three parts separately. Although the girdle is very snug around the balls, fluid can get in between it an the balls so to ensure thorough cleaning, separate the parts.

There is a seam in the plastic of the balls, I clean this by spraying a cotton swab with my toy cleaner and very carefully go around the seam to get rid of anything. I personally see very little cause for concern and long as your beads are properly cleaned before and after use.

The cords on the beads need to be cleaned as well. I clean these with antibacterial soap. Aunt Flow decided to visit once when I had these in and I noticed that the cord actually cleaned up very well. I did soak the bead in a 10% bleach solution for a little bit when this happened and am not concerned about the cords retaining bacteria so long as you take proper care.

Now, I have noticed that if you wear one of the beads with the retraction cords by itself, more fluid seems to accumulate along the seam. I do not worry about it as I am very careful to clean that seam. The girdle does look like it provides some protection for the seam. Something to think about.
Really, cleaning this product before and after use takes me 3 minutes.

I do not store the balls in the girdle; this allows me to change up the composition of the beads easily every time I use them. It also stops me from getting lazy when I clean them before use; it forces me to clean all three parts of the system before I put them in.

The LELO packaging makes it super easy to store these beads, and for travel they can go into the provided pouch.

LELO has wonderful packaging for all of their products. These beads come in the classic hard, black cardboard box with a hard plastic insert with four indents for each bead and you can cover this with a plastic cover before putting on the lid of the box. Underneath the hard cradle, you can find space fore the girdle, pouch, warranty and 10 year quality guarantee and the user manual.

The cardboard sleeve covering the box is white with the LELO logo on top and the name of the product with a very discreet picture of the beads on the sides. No one taking a quick look at this will know what is inside.

This would normally be the part that I tell people about the LELO warranty process and what not. Usually this entails registering the product with the LELO website, however when I went to do this for my Luna beads, I could not find it on the list. Although this product does not have a charger like their other products, I do't really understand how customers can claim their warranty for the Luna beads without registering it. Either way, you should always save your proof of purchase in the event that you need to send the product back to LELO for replacement.

I have sent an email to LELO and when I do my follow up review on these beads I will post their answer.

I love these beads so much, I cannot say that enough. The best results are felt when you wear these beads consistently in whatever way fits your lifestyle. These beads fit into your life easily. You do not need to set aside time you use them, just put them in and go for a run and take them out again when you feel tired.

I don't wear these beads for too long at a time, just until my body tells me that it is tired. My boyfriend has noticed the difference and I have noticed that I get more pleasure from sex with him.

What convinced me to get these beads was the benefits that they can provide for overall health as well as sexual health. Kegel exercises can increase the pleasure felt during sex, keep you feeling tighter and can help make vaginal births a bit easier and can make healing after vaginal births easier and quicker. I have not had children, but my mother's cervix dropped after she gave birth to me (it can happen) and the doctor told her to do kegels to bring the cervix back up. She did and was healed in a couple of weeks. Doing kegels, according to my doctor, can prevent complications like this. Obviously this is second hand information, you can take it or leave it for what it is. I love them and they feel good doing it!
