As a total nipple clamp beginner, I decided to skip all of the "introductory" nipple clamps and go straight for the pro-level styles, and I'm incredibly glad I did. These clamps have made me realize how wonderful clamps can be. I feel like other styles may not have been enough for me. These were a bit intimidating at first, but I quickly warmed up to their charm and have fallen completely in love.

Pros
Beautiful color, incredible bite, gets tighter with chain tension, does not slip, $
These were my first nipple clamps ever. I bought them as a total beginner even though they're super intense and on a more "professional" level than other styles of clamps out there. I have very little sensation in my nipples compared to most. I've had them pierced without much trouble, and even then I still wasn't able to feel much. I was attracted to these because I like intense and slightly scary things and I'm a friend to slightly painful things.
These clamps and my nipples quickly became friends and I'm totally in love with them. As a total beginner, I wasn't sure what the purpose was other than to have a nice biting sensation on the nipples. After a few times of use, I started to understand the awesomeness of nipple clamps. You can wear these for a short period of time, take them off, and have increased sensation. Nipples in the clamps are even more sensitive. I could feel my lover's touch a whole lot more with these on, or just after removal. At first, I didn't think the chain had a specific purpose other than looking nice. I quickly learned that whenever it moved, it provides lots of stimulation. It's great to wear during sex, and especially great in doggy style positions. When in missionary, the chain can be tugged by a lover or held in the teeth of any partner. Another awesome part of clover clamps is that tension on the chain will cause the clamps to tighten. This makes for a great BDSM and trust-play experience. If you're feeling incredibly adventurous, you can use these as labia clamps with the same results.
These clamps are for more advanced users, as they're pretty intense. These are also good for beginners who are already involved in BDSM or those who are extremely confident. I have a high pain threshold and it was a bit hard to wear these for more than a minute at a time at first. I slowly worked myself up so I can wear them for longer periods of time.
These clamps are made of a metal that is somewhere between heavy and light weight. The finish on them is extremely shiny, but the paint can chip off with regular use. Metal is incredibly low on the porosity scale, so these can be easily shared with simple washing. Because these are metal, I'd suggest keeping them dry to prevent any rusting or damage to the material.
The clamps do have small rubber pads inside the actual nipple portion. The pads themselves have a bumpy texture which helps them to grab onto the nipple. These provide and excellent grip that does not slip or slide no matter how hard you pull. The pads are incredibly comfortable.
Half of the appeal of these clamps are how gorgeous they are. They're available in pink and blue (and also a black alternative). The shininess of the material and the color makes them a beautiful piece of BDSM jewelry. The pink and blue add a pretty and feminine touch. The overall design of the clover clamps along with the chain attached makes these very visually appealing in a dangerous and alluring way.
When you look at these clamps up close, they do not look like the highest possible quality. The metal itself looks a little cheap. When opening and closing the clamps, I noticed that a little of the paint had already started to chip where the metal on the clamp meets before I even used them. I don't feel as if it takes away from the overall visual impact of these. While the metal may be fairly low quality and the paint may be chipping, these still function incredibly well.
Both clamps are attached to a 12" chain. The clamps themselves only open about 3/4", so those with larger nipples may find these a bit small. The part that comes in contact with the nipple is about 1/4" wide, so it won't dig into the nipple even with the greatest of tension and pressure. They're incredibly easy to put on and take off.
These clamps are a classic pinch-open design. They're easy to open, but you do have to put a little force behind them. The lower portion of the clamp is what makes them tighter when the chain is pulled. These clamps will not slip off with heavy tugging, which makes them great for very rough play. Weights can even be attached to the chain for a tighter fit.
The paint on these seems to be easy to chip. I've been able to travel with these thrown in my bag without any hassle. For long term storage, and especially around other metal toys, I'd suggest putting these in their own plastic bag. To clean, wipe down the surfaces with a damp cloth.
I'm really, really happy I decided to step into the world of nipple clamps. Of course the first appeal of these was the color for me. I'm obsessed with all things blue. These really weren't something I thought I'd totally fall in love with, but I have. I love wearing them because of how pretty they are and the incredible amount of stimulation I get from them. My lover enjoys playing with them during sex. Even though I was a total beginner in nipple clamps, I'm super glad I chose these over the regular tweezer and beginner clamps. Those may have not been enough for me to really show me how much fun clamps can be.

After buying the Spartacus Butterfly Clamps, I like these a little less, but only in comparison with those. I love the way these work and the overall function, but the others are built a little better for the same price. The discs on these are flat and the other ones are nubbed. The paint has started to chip off of these, but that's to be expected with any of these painted clamps. I might keep these tucked away unless I have an outfit that they match or someone else who wants to play.
