More than Meets the Eye
When I first saw this vibrator I thought it was cute. When I tried it, I found out it was also strong, versatile, and more textured than I'd expected. It isn't perfect, but it's a lot of fun.

Pros
Strong, cute, lots of texture.
Cons
A little noisy, lingering plastic smell.
The Sensual Touch Stars is meant for insertion, but can be used clitorally as well. It's fairly compact, and at 1 1/4 inches is a little thicker than many traditional vibes. Its texture, six rows of stars down the shaft of the vibrator, is its other claim to fame. This vibrator should not be used anally because it has no flanged base and could slip all the way inside.
I was expecting to use this vibe more for insertion, but underestimated the intensity of those cute little stars. Because the vibrator is made entirely of hard plastic, there is no give to it at all. You can feel every bump, which sometimes feels good to me but at other times is too much. If you know you like bumpy textures, you will definitely enjoy this vibrator internally. I've found that using it as a dildo, without the vibration, also feels good and is a little less intense. There's no curve to it, but by tilting it upward you may be able to put some pressure on your G-spot. The Sensual Touch Stars provides interesting external stimulation as well: you can use either the bumpy length of the vibrator or the broad, rounded tip. In other words, you have a lot of options.
Once I got used to it, I really liked both the firmness of the plastic and the intensity of the star texture. I do think this vibe is misnamed-- it has strong vibrations and hard material, not "sensual touch." The price and size are great for beginners, but I think those with a whole collection of toys might still want to add this one.
What I didn't like about this material was its plastic smell, which was particularly strong coming out of the packaging. It has faded after a few washes, but is still there two weeks later, which makes me think it won't ever be gone entirely.
The design of the Sensual Touch Stars is fairly simple. It has a push button on the bottom which cycles through the three speeds and then off. The button is white and heart-shaped, which is a nice touch. You have to push it fairly hard to change the speed, which is both good and bad. You won't change it (or turn it off) accidentally, but if you don't push hard enough the vibrator pauses for a moment and then keeps going at the same intensity, which is annoying. I would like an on/off button, but since there are only three speeds it doesn't take long to cycle through them.
I found this vibrator a little noisy, but I live in an apartment with thin walls. It wouldn't be heard through a closed door, and can be easily muffled with a blanket. The noise is more than worth it for the power, which is stronger than I had expected.
The battery compartment takes three AAA batteries, and is clearly marked as to which way they go. The cap fits on tightly, but is pretty easy to get on and off. There is an o-ring inside, and this vibe is truly both splash-proof and waterproof.
The plastic is non-porous, but takes a little more scrubbing than a smooth vibrator would because of the stars. You can clean the Sensual Touch Stars with warm water and antibacterial soap, or with toy cleaner, but it can't be sterilized. The material is also compatible with any kind of lube.
This vibrator came in cheap plastic packaging, but is small enough to store just about anywhere. Take the batteries out when storing it for longer battery life.

The Sensual Touch Stars is working just as well as ever-- and, luckily, will run for a long time on one set of batteries.
