Missed The Shot

A powerful, discreet clitoral vibrator that is easy to use for solo and partner play alike. It's easy to clean, store, and maintain and those who love texture will enjoy this toy. However if you're overly sensitive to vibrations or texture, this toy may not be the right one for you.

Use

The Beaver shot by Evolved is a discreet vibrator, mostly used for clitoral stimulation, but can also be used for shallow vaginal penetration as well as stimulation of the nipples and other erogenous areas. However, do NOT use this toy anally, it will get sucked up and lost inside, leading you to a trip to the ER to get it removed.

This toy is also very straightforward, no learning curve required. I would recommend this toy to beginners and those new to the world of toys, as well as couples who want to add a little something to the bedroom that is non intrusive and easy to use during mutual masturbation or intercourse. It's small enough where it might not get in the way too much during intercourse however I have no partner to test that with.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of hard plastic. It's unyielding, so if you do not like hard firm toys, this will not be something you'd like. The metal band is also just panted plastic. It has no odor, taste, don't leech any strange chemicals, and is body safe.

The texture is hard ridges all the way around the shaft of this toy. They do not move at all and to some, this can be too rough or overstimulating. The end is blunt and there's a small raised bump in the middle, more than likely where the plastic was poured into the mold. It might be a rough spot for some if you're overly sensitive but generally will not get in the way of toy use.
    • No odor

Design / Shape / Size

The Beaver Shot is shaped just like a shotgun shell, possibly modeled after a 12 gauge shot, and comes in two colors. It's about 3 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inches in diameter, a little larger than the AAA battery it holds, but close to the size of an actual shell. Because of this, I really do not recommend traveling on airplanes or anywhere luggage is checked as it may cause problems due to the fact it looks like real ammunition. Yes it's small and travel friendly, but only to places where you won't be questioned about what's in your bag!

As stated before, this toy is covered in ridges. The bottom half is metal brushed plastic. The thicker part of the band twists off to reveal a waterproofing ring as well as the battery compartment, and the smaller metal ring is the turn dial to turn the toy on, increase and decrease the vibration, and to turn it off. The other end is blunt, so if you need pinpoint vibrations I suggest looking elsewhere.

Functions / Performance / Controls

What a powerhouse! For a bullet, this toy is very strong, more than likely due to the fact it uses AAA batteries rather than the traditional watch batteries and the occasional N battery. This makes it way easier to get the batteries as many stores sell them, unlike the other two. Batteries also last a decent amount of time with this toy, too.

This toy only has a constant vibration, so if you like pulses or roller coaster settings, I am sorry to say this toy lacks this. The vibrations are focused more in the tip of the toy meaning that it's more powerful against you and doesn't get dulled. It's turned on by a twist of the turn dial on the bottom, which as it gets turned, you can feel very slight clicks which prevents the dial from turning freely. Personally, I LOVE turn dials as I can get just the right frequency when I want and adjust at any time. Turning it off in an emergency is easy too, just quickly turn the base and it's off.

The Beaver shot is also waterproof! The waterproof ring in the battery compartment prevents any leaks and i have submerged this toy while turned on in a sink and let it sit. Removed it and checked and there wasn't any water inside at all. A big plus to those who love their tub and shower play, or if you're daring enough, to use in a swimming pool.

Now despite being a powerhouse of a toy, it's very quiet, you can't hear it much under covers or if you have soft music going. The toy despite being made of plastic doesn't rattle at all. I would even recommend this toy for those in dorms because of how quiet it is. In fact I think it's even quieter than my Iconic Bullet by Jimmyjane however that clit vibe is getting old and could be rattling more due to that fact.

Care and Maintenance

Cleanup is fairly easy. The ridges make it slightly hard so make sure you clean it well or you may get lube and other stuff crusting up on it between the ridges. Warm soapy water should do the trick or rubbing alcohol. Do NOT put this toy in the dishwasher or in boiling water to clean it, due to the fact it has mechanical parts it WILL break. Also make sure the cap is on tightly when cleaning it to prevent any water from getting inside.

Because this toy is made of plastic, go nuts with your favorite lube! It can support both water based and silicone lubricants without any nasty effects to the material of the toy.

Because this is a battery powered toy, i highly suggest storing it without the battery inside. Reason being to prevent the battery form getting drained as well as prevent any possible acid leaks inside the toy.

Now being of plastic, it cannot be truly sterilized, so if you're going to share it I highly suggest covering it in a condom.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

There was no packaging at all for this toy. It was merely wrapped in plastic and that was all. I suggest getting a small bag for this or a small box to store this in. Somewhat disappointed as I would have thought it fitting to store this in a box that looked like a real ammo box.

Experience

I really, really, really wanted to like this toy. It had everything I wanted out of a bullet vibe. However two things lead me to be severely disappointed: the blunt end and the ridges. I am sensitive to textures, way too sensitive, and I prefer to have only smooth toys. The ridges on this rubbed me raw on my clit, and were uncomfortable in shallow vaginal penetration. It took me a while to finish with this toy, despite the power that normally would throw me over the edge in no time flat. I don't do pain at all, and when it got painful it made it harder to focus on climaxing. A complete let down for me, but I'm sure it'd work very well for someone else.

I seriously thought about giving this a 3 out of 5 star review, however it is a really great toy, just it didn't work with my anatomy so i gave it another point because really, it's only my body that made it fall short.
