Mia was a miss

For a luxury toy, I was expecting so much more. This is my first Lelo vibrator (I do own Bob, but that's a pure silicone toy) and don't see what all the hype is about. It's quiet and discreet, but it lacks in so many other areas. First of all, it didn't come with a charging cable; I had to supply my own if I didn't want to use my computer. It's terribly weak and takes forever to charge. And to top it off, the buttons are awkward and hard to use. Skip this and save your money.

Use

The Mia 2 is a discreet bullet uniquely suited to travel. The cap on the back unscrews to gain access to the USB charging port. You can charge Mia off of any computer or charger that accepts USBs. This makes it quite versatile.

Female or male bodied folks can enjoy a bullet vibrator for external stimulation of just about anywhere. Just don't try insertion, especially anally. Mia is too small and doesn't have a base, so it can be pulled into the body which will cause an embarrassing trip to the doctor.

Unfortunately, it isn't very strong. Those that need power should look elsewhere because Mia doesn't deliver.

Material / Texture

The Mia is made from a shiny hard plastic. It has a little drag, but goes away with a little lube. The plastic is completely rigid. There is no texture at all on Mia, just smooth plastic.

Plastic is non porous, but it can't be sterilized by boiling or throwing in the dishwasher. It's also body safe and hypoallergenic.
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Mia is a bit larger than a lipstick, but when it is plugged into the computer, it looks like a stylish thumb stick. It's terribly discreet. When in a makeup bag, it looks like makeup.

It is a bit larger than the average bullet at 4.25" long and 3" in circumference but still within that range. The tip gives nice pin point stimulation, but you can use the body as well for larger areas of stimulation. It's a suitable size for external stimulation for users of all experience levels as long as you don't need a lot of power.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Mia was a huge disappointment for me. I was expecting so much more from Lelo than what I got. There are a ton of patterns, but the power just isn't there. It's a nice tease, but it isn't every going to get me there. It is quiet enough to be muffled by a blanket. It's also waterproof which is a plus.

It took forever to charge! I was expecting so much more from a product that took 2 hours to charge. It doesn't come charged, so if you are planning a romantic night by giving this gift, charge it and put it back in the box.

This charges via USB port. I feel like for a toy of this price, they could have included a wall charger for me, but Lelo didn't. At least it is a USB port, so you can charge her off of any computer. I was able to use a USB wall charger just fine as well.

The Mia is controlled by two buttons. There is a + and - button. Holding the + increases intensity and holding - decreases it. A long press will cycle through the patterns of which there are many. The buttons are small and hard to tell which one you are pressing during use without looking. I wasn't a fan of this set up. I prefer being able to control functions independently. It was too hard to get to the pattern I was looking for without changing the intensity and vice cersa.
    • Hard to figure out
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

This is made from plastic which is non porous, but it can't be sterilized by boiling or running it through the dishwasher. I give mine a bath under water in the sink with toy cleaner, making sure that the cap is on securely first, but you can use antibacterial soap instead. It can be stored anywhere out of high heat or direct sunlight.

Thanks for your review! I didn't really enjoy my Mia2 very much at first either...I was extremely disappointed & felt like it was super weak. Until I ended up getting the Salsa..First I use the strength of the Salsa to torture my clit, then I finish with the Mia2. So the Mia2 is pretty much one of my best friends right now.

Thanks for the review. My wife likes her new Mia 2 pretty well, which is practically a miracle. I think it has good power for its size, and we love how discreet it is, both ut in appearance and quietness.

I'm sorry you didn't like this one. While it isn't as powerful as I'd like, I still like it.
