Mia Cornucopia: Take TWO!

Mia 2 is a 2.0 version of the already great Mia. LELO has heard customer feedback and has provided a stronger, waterproof toy that has all the qualities that made people love Mia originally. It still might not be enough for those who need BIG vibrations, but it's bound to please the majority of users.

Use

What?! Just after I nab Mia 1, you have to come out with Mia 2? Why do you do that to me, LELO? Now I'm weary of what to buy next. Regardless, here's the Mia 2! It's boasted now to be fully waterproof and 100 percent stronger than the Mia 1, but only the latter statement if really true. Still, it still manages to keep all the qualities loved in the original version.

Mia is made with discretion in mind. It looks like lipstick. If you get the black one, it looks very much like a jump drive. You should be able to charge it with little notice. It's also easy to hide. It's a great option for those who live with others. Even if you have roommates, you can whisk Mia 2 into the shower for waterproof vibrations. This can also make a great first toy for someone. It will also work for those who have low to around average intensity. Those with clits o' steel will want to look away from this one. So long as you can enjoy a high 3/ low 4 vrooms than advanced users will appreciate the quality and features of Mia 2.

Mia 2 can be used a variety of ways. It's geared as an external toy, but it has a small insertable end for some insertion. It can stimulate the clitoris or any external erogenous zones. It's also an option for couples since it is small enough to fit between partners for many positions. Mia 2 is not recommended or intended for anal play. It is far too small and easy to get lost inside the body. You can still use Mia 2 to tease the anal opening and the P-spot externally.

Material / Texture

Mia 2 is made of mostly the same amount of the same materials of Mia 1. It is primarily made of plastic, which ranks an 8 out of 10 on the materials scale. It is non porous, so bacteria cannot thrive inside the toy. It is also hypoallergenic and made of food grade materials. The plastic is both shiny and smooth. The is little to no drag, but if you need to add lubricant, only use water based ones since the button is made out of silicone.

Mia 2 is completely firm. It will not bend or yield in any way. It has a more pointed end and a flatted end where the cap is. You can use either side of the toy if you want (the point is the intended location, so the vibes on the flatter end is a bit weaker). This can allow for broad stimulation and something a bit more pointed. It is important to note that the plastic may be so smooth that the toy can keep "missing" the clitoris.

Mia 2 has no overt smell or taste.
    • Not porous at all
    • Rigid
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

Mia 2 is almost exactly the size of Mia. If there is a size difference, it's by a small, small fraction of a centimeter. Mia 2 is 4.5 inches long with an insertable length of 1.5 inches. It has a max circumference of 3 inches, but the tip where it is inserted is indeed narrower. This means Mia 2 is not intimidating in any way and can be a potential first toy. it also means that if you're a size queen you'll just chuck this at my head. Again, Mia 2 is basically as small as possible without cramping your hand and being a pain to use.

Mia is ridiculously easy to hide. In terms of sound, it's between 1 and 2 Bees. Since it is plastic, be sure that it doesn't come in contact with a hard surface like a ring or bracelet. It'll make a racket. Overall, you won't be heard beyond your closed door. If there's a fan on, you could even leave the door open if you're adventurous. Traveling with Mia is easy. She can go in the travel pouch she comes with. Mia 2 can easily fit in a pocket or anything larger. If left on the dresser or desk it shouldn't bring too much attention. If charging you can call it a flash drive.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Mia 2 has two buttons: a plus and a minus. Press the plus button to turn the toy on its lowest setting. The first intensity is a very low intensity. To increase the intensity, simply hold the plus button. To decrease intensity, hold the minus button. The vibrations are stronger than the Mia 1, but I don't think it's 100 percent stronger. Maybe 30 or so percent would be more accurate. As of now, I would rank the Mia 2 a very high 3 Vrooms or low 4 Vrooms out of 5. It's more like a 3.85, which is why I rounded it to a (low) 4. It should work for those who have high to normal sensitivity as well as some who need a little oomph. If you need a solid 4 vrooms or high than this won't work for you.

There are also a few patterns to Mia 2. If you hold the plus button after it hits the highest intensity, you can access the patterns. They are: pulses, fast pulses, accelerating pulses, faster accelerating pulse and a mix of short a long pulses. These are more patterns than the orignal, which has 3. The vibrations are more rumbly than the Mia 1. The toy also has an O-ring, which prevent water from entering when the cap is on tight. The first Mia was a quick pull-off cap. The Mia 2 requires a twist and pull to unlock it (for a more secure seal).

Charging Mia is easy. The Mia 2 doesn't come with the small extension cord the Mia 1 did, but this is not the end of the world. To charge, simply plug the toy into your computer. Be careful not to knock the toy off or break it since it'll be sticking out of the side of your computer. You can also use a USB to AC adapter if you want to plug it into the wall.

Care and Maintenance

Care for Mia 2 is a breeze. Being a primarily external plastic toy, she's easy to wipe down or clean with soap and water, toy wipes or toy cleaner. Since it is waterproof when the cap is on, you don't have to be afraid of getting it wet. A little fizz may collect on the silicone control pad, but this isn't a big deal. Only use water based lubricants with Mia 2 to prevent damage on the control pad.

Once clean and dry you can store Mia 2 in the pouch she comes with or her box.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Packaging is similar to all luxury LELO products but is different than the last Mia's packaging. The first layer is a glossy, card stock box that is the color of the toy you chose (in my case, black). Remove this layer and you'll see the signature, black LELO box. The box is longer than the Mia 1 box. The Mis 1 box had Mia set in two pieces. In this packaging, Mia 2 is in one piece. There is a small pouch for storage that seems the same as the earlier kind. There is also an instructions booklet (not specific to Mia, but contain instructions), a warranty registration card and a sample packet of LELO lubricant.

The packaging is tasteful and nicely done. The main box is discreet and only has the company's name on it. It is a great gift to give and the pouch and box can be easily used for long term storage.
    • Good for storage
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

Mia 1 or 2?

So... Mia 1 and Mia 2; which is better? For over 95 percent of folks who are trying to decide I recommend Mia 2. If you already have the Mia 1 you don't necessarily have to rush out and grab this one. So long as you're happy with the strength of your Mia 1 and don't mind the lack of waterproofing then there's no need for a Mia 2. If you're debating between the 2 of them, the Mia 2 is overall more versatile and a bit stronger. There's no reason I can argue acquiring a Mia 1 over a Mia 2 other than a small price difference. It's worth the extra few bucks to get the 2.

Compared to other Clitoral Vibrators

I don't really wish to compare the Mia 2 to most other clitoral vibes. Mia is inherently different because she charges via USB port; that a big difference compared to battery powered and rechargeable toys. If you're looking for your "Ultimate" clitoral vibe, I would point you toward We-Vibes toys like the Tango or Salsa, MiMi, or some toys from Leaf. Mia is a great, affordable toy is you're looking for discretion. So long as you don't need a solid 4 vrooms or larger, that is. Mia 2 is the best USB toy I have seen on the market and is better than many mid grade rechargeable clitoral vibes.
