Lay A Spot if you can find one
The LayaSpot is a small, discrete clitoral vibrator that is available in a variety of fun colors. It is a silent toy that is waterproof, multispeed, vibrating, and pulsating. The overall design of the Layaspot is ergonomic; however, it is lacking power.
Published:
Pros
Non-porous, phthalates and latex free, variety of colors avail, small, quiet
Cons
Lacking power, does not pinpoint clitoral stimulation
With all the extreme Hype about the Layaspot... I just knew I had to have one. I have a fetish for clitorial vibrators, LayAspot looked appealing. I read the reviews and most seemed to be pleased with it.
LayAspot is available in a variety of cute colors. It is small, very discrete and is great for storing in tight spaces or traveling. It is also a very quiet, easy to operate toy.
The LayAspot has a built in control pad. There is a plus button and a minus button. With each press on (+) it bounces through a variety of vibrating and pulsating. And then with the push of (minus) it goes backwards through the levels. Or the (-) can be held down to bring it back to off. It is multispeed and powered by two AAA batteries.
The design of the LayAspot is different for sure. It is only 4 inches long and has a diameter of 1 3/8 inches. It is very lightweight, only 0.3 lb. It is slightly curved with a hard tip. Some areas of the toy are softer, but the majority is pretty hard. I did have problems trying to figure out what part went where. I flip it all around and tried to find the best area of the toy to use for best stimulation... and found that it lacks a lot of power and does not pin point any specific area for myself. I just have not found what the hype is about. I have tried and tried to enjoy my LayAspot, but it just does not do the job for me.
The LayAspot is waterproof. I have used it in the shower. As long as the battery compartment is closed tightly, there should be no problems.
It is made of Elastomed. It is non-porous, odorless, and phthalate-free material. It is a quiet sturdy material. It can be cleaned with an antibacterial soap and warm water. Elastomed is compatible with silicone and water based lubricants.
The LayAspot gets an A from me when it comes sound, color choice, shower ability, sterilizing, variety of functions, etc. However, when it comes to power and pin point clitoral stimulation.... the LayAspot failed big time. It may be more suitable for those who only need low-mild offering. Me, I need a toy that is packing some juice. The LayAspot is not the toy for me. I have cheaper, basic bullets that offer more power than this one.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I have used the Layaspot over and over and have tried to get off, but the truth is this girl just doesn't do it for me. Never has. It just doesn't have enough clit action for me. And for almost $50, it's a sad purchase. My Layaspot is tucked away in its original package all lonesome. This girl needs some improving for the price for sure.

What a shame! I love funfactory!

Wish that this one was a higher vroom!

I'm still working on writing my review for this one, I didn't like it much either. Which is a shame, because so many others loved it.
-
I haven't used mine but once or twice. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It's kind of 'meh' so far.

Hm...I was thinking of getting this exact one (same color and everything) for my next order. I'm feeling very torn. Thanks for the review!

It's so disappointing that you can't get pinpoint stimulation from this. I kind of figured as much, judging from the shape, but now I'm bummed. Thanks for the review!

I actually enjoyed my Layaspot. It covered a nice area, was pretty easy to hold, and while the vibrations weren't the strongest, it was a nice warm-up toy. Glad to hear a different opinion though.

great review

It's hard to think this thing has power with 2 AAA batteries for sure. God this sucks, I have wanted one of these so bad, but I highly doubt it will please me too. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about getting the Layaspot for a while but I have been on the fence. I need something quiet that won't click against my VCH, but I also want power. Guess this isn't the toy for me.

@Zoey - I've found that the Laya works really well for us ladies with VCH piercings. No buzzing/clicking. It's sad that it doesn't have a bit more power!

thank you!
