Eden Fantasys Kissa is not only a gorgeous piece of vibrating glass but a fantastic texture play toy. With so many delicious bumps and swirls the Kissa has a lot to offer anyone who likes texture or wants to explore it.
Ok, I lied. I'm not Irish but it's a catchy title huh?
On to business!
The Kissa was my very first free toy from my very first order on Eden Fantasys! So this toy holds a little bit of a special place in my heart. It was also my very first piece of vibrating glass and quickly made me want more and more and MORE! It's such a gorgeous piece that I could not believe that EF would give away such an awesome toy. But they did and I'm so so happy that I was quick enough to snap it up.
And even though the colour of my Kissa isn't exactly that of the picture, it's more of a light plum colour, it's much more appealing than the orange in the picture.
The Kissa is made from gorgeous clear glass that’s wrapped around a plum coloured plastic. The Glass itself is perfectly smooth apart from the swirls and nubs (but I'll get to those later) and the plastic has a soft sheen to it. I have to say that at first I thought that it was metal underneath the glass because it has such a lovely high shine but it is plastic so don't be fooled.
The shaft and head of the Kissa have some pretty intense texturing in the form of the swirls and nubs and this could be a problem for people who don't like texture, those who like minimal texture or beginners to texture.
But if you love texture then you will be pleasantly surprised with just how much stimulation the textures give.
Around the shaft you get a long curl of spirals that twist all the way around the toy almost from the base to just under its head and then adorning the top like a crown you have these delicious nubs, tons of them in fact and they are all perfectly smooth (no sharp bits) and feel fantastic inside and out.
Because the Kissa is made from glass you can use any kinda of lube with it, glass is very durable and won't react to any kind of lube and neither will the plastic. They are also food-grade material, latex free, non-porous, phthalates free and hypo-allergenic.
The plastic on this toy is only touchable around the base and it has a very very light smell, the glass has none at all and neither has any taste.
The design of the Kissa is a great one, the thick body give a nice bit of stretch when you put it inside and the texture on the outside make it amazing for external play. Measuring 6" in total length and 4 1/2" insertable with a circumference of 5" and a diameter of 1 1/2" the kissa is a fairly substantial toy. But even though it does have some size to it, the Kissa lacks a suitable base for safe anal play and I wouldn't risk it.
The toy starts off with a plastic dome handle and a single solitary button poking out of the very bottom, the handle gives you just enough room to grip it with your fingers and has a rubber ring where it screws on and off for the batteries. There is another ring of the plum coloured plastic then the rest is covered with delicious glass, the swirls on the shaft start about 1/2" up and twist around the Kissa's body with a spacing of approximately 1/2" between each line. The swirls end just before the glass tapers ever so slightly then bulges out again into a thicker "head", the head is covered completely with little round nubs of glass, each of them measuring only a couple of millimetres.
As I said before, the texture on this toy is probably not the best for beginners (unless you like to jump right in) but for those who like texture, this toy should be amazing. Traveling with the Kissa is pretty easy, you just need to keep her padded well to avoid any breakages but she is not very discreet. if someone copped an eyeful of the Kissa theres no doubt what she is for.
The Kissa even though a stunningly gorgeous glass toy is very simple in her functions. She has three settings, they start from 1 vroom and move up to about a 3 vrooms all of which are controlled by the button on her bottom. Even though they are not very strong vibrations they certainly add something when you are playing with the texture of this toy.
The vibrations in the Kissa seem to be located very close to the head of the toy and can be felt at their strongest there. The Kissa is also waterproof and work brilliantly in the shower or tub, unlike some toys that say they are waterproof, the Kissa actually is!
Kissa is powered by single AA battery, but that first battery has lasted me a handful of plays with her and I haven't had to change it yet.
The Kissa is a primarily glass toy but that doesn't mean she can be boiled. She is a powered toy and boiling her with almost certainly cause damage, instead I wash her with either warm soap and water, a toy cleaner or anti-bacterial hand wash and even a 10% bleach solution is ok. Just work up a good lather in what ever you choose and make sure to pay attention to all here little nooks and crannies! (They can hide some fluids and can be a little trickier to clean, I use a toothbrush that I bought for that purpose specifically)
Storing Kissa is a no brainer really. I pop her back into the padded pouch that she came in and tuck her back into my cabinet, safe and sound. Again she is glass so something protective is a must but since she doesn't like lint like silicone does it means that any kind of material is suitable for keeping her safe.
The Kissa came to me in the afore mentioned padded pouch. It's a nice thick, black velour pouch with a single drawstring top and a push button fastener to keep it closed nice and tight. There were no instructions with my Kissa but with no effort at all I looked up how to care for her materials right here on Eden.
If you want to give Kissa as a gift, I would suggest a gift box so that it can be wrapped and give just a little more protection to it's precious cargo.
Discreet looking packaging
Good for storage
Follow-up commentaryI still like it2 months after original review
As I mentioned in the actual review, this was one of the toys in my very first EF order and the fact that I still love it shows that this toy is not only a great addition to anyones collection but it's a truly quality piece.
