It's getting hot in here - NOT!!!

Was at least expecting a slight tingle. Doesn't deliver, but it is a nice size for travel. The packaging was very hard to read, and the website was no great help either.

somewhat useful review
Durex play warming lubricant comes in a convenient pump bottle that is resealable. I found it non-irritating, non-warming, unscented and bitter tasting. (Even arsenic flavored would be preferable.) It's also stringy, but not sticky. It's non-staining and it evaporates fast, requiring you to stop and use more. I never felt a warming sensation. Not a hint.

Its second ingredient is glycerin, which can cause yeast infections. It also has sodium saccharin - which is really just Sweet'N'Low. I haven't disliked a lube this much, since ever. It felt like thinned down Elmer's Glue-All. Not to dis Elmer's, their product has a superior taste and dries slower, but you would not want to use it as love juice.

There is nothing in this formula that can even be considered vasodialating in any stretch of the imagination. No niacin, no menthol, no caffeine (I have seen lubes with niacin, caffeine, and menthol and L-arginine in them), L -arginine, cinnamon, or even Tiger Balm. Nada. As we say in Hawaii "whatevahs". Save your money, time, and vaginal lining.

Even the Durex website had little to offer about this product, except the tip "to blow on it".

I did not really read the package when I purchased it at the drugstore. It's in a safety-sealed plastic see through carton. Inside the bottle is covered with a tamper resistant over wrap, that is elder-proofed. If you have arthritis, someone will have to open this for you. Potential embarrassment number two, the print on the bottle is microscopic. I needed magnifying glasses to read it, and I have vision like a hawk. The print is also in white.

I was pretty surprised, to tell the truth. Durex makes darn good condoms. I use them religiously on my toys. I wanted to like this product, but the more I used it the less I liked it; and the more faulty I found it.
Follow-up commentary
I tried it a few more times, no heat sensation... it's an ok water-based lube, but there are more pure, thicker ones. It does leave clear, shiny stains.

Yea...I didn't like this much either.

Did you try it on anyone else? People can have such different reactions to warming products. Also, maybe this is silly, but is the bottle just red? If so, what colour is the lube? Despite its lack of warmth, did it work okay as a regular lube or did you just give up on it?

Was the lubricant easy to wash off? How does it feel when it's initially applied? Smooth? Wet? Slick? Too watery?

The bottle is red, the lube is clear, and a few ladies I tried it on had no sensation different than KY jelly. Its easy to wash off, its ok as a regular lube if you like a lot of glycerin and saccharin, but the product delivers no warming effect. All lubes are wet, this one's a little sticky and stringy.
