Iris - my dream vibrator
The Iris is a beautifully designed vibrator, it's powerful and quiet, stylish and classy, words you don't often associate with sex toys.

Pros
Powerful and quiet
Cons
Apply pressure and the motor will brake down
I am one of those that needs a powerful vibrator to reach orgasm. I had been using cheap bullet vibes but the high frequency vibrations more often than not just left me all tuned up, unsatisfied, and unable to reach orgasm. So I decided to buy a proper vibrator. I did a lot of research until I decided to buy an Iris. When she arrived I was very exited, the packaging and presentation just oozes quality through and through. It comes in a black cardboard box to store it in and a black satin storage pouch. The shaft is made out of silky smooth 100% medical grade silicone and the handle is made of body friendly PC-ABS plastic hence there is no taste nor smell. Cleaning is easy since it's made of silicone, soap and water will suffice. Use water based lubricants or if you want to try silicone based do a spot test first to see if it's compatible. The shaft is rigid so keep that in mind when considering the size if you are going to use it for insertion, it has no give. The Iris is rechargeable and it takes 4 hours to fully charge it and the charge will last up to 4 hours at 70% intensity. Lelo offers one year warranty on all it's products, something that came in handy for me, but more on that later.
The Iris has two motors in the shaft, one in the top and another lower in the shaft. You have the option of having the top motor running, the lower motor running, having both running simultaneously or two different pulsation speeds. In every setting you can change the intensity of the vibration. This for me is a big plus. The vibrator is very quiet even on the highest setting. It's powerful and goes from "barely there" vibrations to strong and powerful. So the bottom line; the Iris is a beautifully designed vibrator, it's stylish and classy, words you don't often associate with sex toys.
Using it:
I used the Iris solely for clitoral stimulation, since I don't like vibration inside my vagina, plus the shaft of the Iris is to girthy for me. As I mentioned earlier I need strong clitoral stimulation to orgasm. I could use the wide scale of intensity to build up a good orgasm and also the shaft is rigid allowing more direct stimulation. The frequency of the vibration never left me numb and I never got the feeling of wishing it could go just one higher. I didn't have problems with the control button as some have stated. For me it was the perfect vibrator. Me and my boyfriend would use it every time we had sex.
Problems in paradise
After about a month of use (several times a week) the top motor stopped working, I got a replacement from the shop I bought it in and after a month the same thing happened with the replacement, the top motor stopped and soon the bottom one also. I contacted Lelo, they hadn't heard of this problem before so I sent them the Iris and got another replacement. I didn't even get the change to recharge the second replacement as the same thing happened again. The top motor stopped working. Now I had gone through three Irises, every one broke down in the same way. I contacted a popular high end sex shop and asked if they were familiar with this problem. They were not and said that Lelo products were one of the best quality they had. I again contacted Lelo and sent the iris back. For all my problems they sent me an Elise|Lelo Elise review, the basic design is the same as in the Iris, it just looks different and is more expensive. Well now my Elise has broken down in exactly the same way. That makes four vibrators.
What can I say... it might be me, maybe the vibrator can't handle the pressure I apply to it when I orgasm. It's not much pressure, but pressure never the less. Maybe it's designed to be used more internally than externally. What ever it is, me and Iris/Elise are not compatible. This is my dream vibrator and it looks as though it will remain a dream. I give it 4 stars despite all the trouble, (other wise I would give it 5) Lelo has been excellent in replacing the vibrator and it seems to me that this problem is isolated with me :)

Thank you for viewing Iris – g-spot vibrator discontinued review page!
I too am hard on toys but my GiGI, also byLelo, just keeps on giving.
ThePornLibrarian: I've never heard of quality problems with lelo products other than myself. And of course if a company offers a one year warranty their products must be good quality
This is really weird............. Maybe it is something with your electrical system? But then you'd think other things in your home would be off as well.
Snappy: I feel your pain, you find the perfect toy and it just wont work for you!
Lelo stands behind their products and they so deliver.
Keep us informed...I am so curious.
