If Hoops and Yoyo had a love child

The JimmyJane Form 2 is a unique clitoral vibrator that sets itself apart through its dual motors and design. The smooth silicone feels great on the body and the dual motors provide stimulation in stereo. It's powerful, waterproof, and rechargeable. What more could you want in a clitoral vibrator? It sits at the top of my toy box for those reasons.

Use

The Form 2 by JimmyJane is an interesting little clitoral vibrator. It is designed to stimulate your clitoris in stereo. The design also makes it ideal to be used on other erogenous zones like your nipples. Basically, if it can fit between the two ears, it can enjoy one hell of a sexy massage. It isn’t designed for vaginal penetration and is absolutely not anal safe. That said, it feels great for external anal stimulation and for stimulating the vaginal opening.

The Form 2 is completely waterproof and makes an excellent shower time companion. There is no opening for water enter the vibrator so you can completely submerge this. Unlike some vibrators, the Form 2 does not lose power when it is submerged. If anything, the feeling of the rippling water combined with the vibrator itself makes it feel stronger underwater.

Thankfully, the Form 2 does have a travel lock so this vibrator is very travel-friendly. Thrown in a bag or suitcase, it won’t accidentally turn on if you have the travel lock on. If you were to fly and decide to take this in your carry-on, I doubt any TSA agent would figure out what it is. Unless, of course, they’re a sex toy aficionado like you.

Material / Texture

The Form 2 is a hard vibrator covered in soft, silky silicone. Silicone rates a perfect 10/10 on the Eden safety scale. It’s completely body safe being that it is non-porous, latex free, phthalate free, and hypo-allergenic. This silicone is velvety and has a small amount of drag. Water-based lube can be used to eliminate the drag of the silicone while it is being used. Silicone is also a notorious lint magnet. The Form 2 isn’t an exception. It will collect dust, dirt, and hair wherever you leave it. The Form 2 does have a very noticeable seam that runs along the sides of the vibrator. I haven’t noticed this seam during use but those who are more sensitive may find it irritating.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

I can’t be the only one who thinks the Form 2 looks like the love child of Hoops and Yoyo.

Amiright?

Other people have described this as looking like a tooth or the legs and stomach of a person. Whatever it looks like to you, it looks like an excellent design for a clitoral vibrator to me. It has a rounded, bulb-like base with two protruding ears. Each ear has a motor in it, allowing for the “in-stereo” stimulation that JimmyJane boasts. The Form 2 is small enough to easily fit in the palm of your hand, allowing for easy use. It isn’t designed like a typical vibrator so those of you who are clever may be able to come up with a good cover story if someone discovers this little beauty.

Details

In its entirety, it is 3 inches tall. The base has a circumference of 5.5” and it makes up 1.75” of the entire length or height. Each ear is 1.25” long and roughly 2.25” in circumference. The gap between the ears is slightly more than ? of an inch wide. Overall, it’s a pretty small vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

First and foremost, the Form 2 is a rechargeable vibrator. It charges via a magnetic base. The Form 2 has a metal component on the base of the vibrator that sits on two metal pieces of the base. This connection charges the Form 2. The initial charge should be around 8 hours. Mine came to me completely devoid of any charge so I had to wait the entire agonizingly long 8 hours. The charge does last for a long time. When you take the Form 2 off its base, there is a light that will flash to signal how much of a charge is left on the battery. The most I’ve seen is 3 quick flashes. I assume that indicates a full charge. When mine was near dying, it only flashed one slower flash. This is a pretty cool feature but it would have been nice if the manual had described what the flashes actually mean. If you leave your Form 2 stored on the magnetic base, it will charge in between uses...assuming the base is plugged in, of course.

The Form 2 has three buttons that are on the bulb-like base. There is a “+” button, a “-” button, and an “wave” button. To turn the Form 2 on, you press the “+” button. It starts on a low, steady vibrator. Continuing to press the “+” will take you through the four various power levels, starting at a high 2 vrooms and jumping to a low 5 vrooms. The Form 2 is actually pretty loud considering its size. I expected it to be a bit more quiet than it is but it’s not too bad. It starts at a low 2 bees on the lowest setting and increases to about 3 bees on high. If pressure is applied to it, it will get louder and it will become more high pitched. The vibrations aren’t very rumbly, which can be a let down to some people. They’re pretty dead center between rumbly and buzzy with the highest setting being the buzziest of all. With the two motors though, this doesn’t bother me.

Pressing the “wave” button will take you into the patterns. The first pattern is an “oscillate” pattern where the vibrations shift intensity from ear and back. To be honest, the oscillation is not that noticeable to me. It feels almost like a pulse. I think it would be much more noticeable if the vibrations completely ceased in one ear while the other ear vibrated on high. The second pattern is a rollercoaster or rev-up type of pattern. The third is a fast pulse. Pressing the wave button again will take you back to steady vibrations. Within each pattern you can press the “+” or “-” to increase or decrease the intensity of the vibrations.

There is a fourth hidden pattern in JimmyJane vibrators! Didja know that? They call it “anarchy mode.” By pressing “+-+-+-” (left, right, left right, B, A, start?) in quick succession you will be taken to the chaotic anarchy mode that cycles through all the patterns and intensities without any rhyme or reason. I’ve noticed that the vibrator can not be turned off in anarchy mode. You must return to the normal patterns to turn it off.

To turn the Form 2 off, you can either cycle down through intensities in the steady vibration mode or you can press and hold the “-” button. The Form 2 has a memory and will restart on your last used setting. To engage or disengage the travel lock on the Form 2, press and hold the “+” and the “wave” button for 1.5 seconds.

Many people report experiencing a “glitch” or “flaw” with the Form 2. This glitch caused the vibrations to shift from the ears to the base when pressure was applied to the ears or when the Form 2 was held a certain way. The glitch was accompanied by a very different noise, often described as a high pitched whining. I personally haven’t experienced the glitch, even when I try to cause it. I’ve read a few more recent reviews of the Form 2 and it seems like JimmyJane may have fixed the problem with the dual motors. They haven’t officially released a statement announcing this but the newer models do not seem to be experiencing the glitch as often as older models if it happens at all. When I apply a lot of pressure to the Form 2, it does seem to sputter a bit but the vibrations don’t shift.

Care and Maintenance

The Form 2 is best cleaned with a mild soap and warm water, your favorite toy cleaner, or a toy wipe. Since it contains motorized parts, it’s not safe to boil the Form 2. If you prefer to use lube with your vibrators, be sure to only use water-based lube with the Form 2. Silicone lube can ruin the finish of a silicone toy. That’d be a tragedy with this little beauty.

The Form 2 is meant to be stored sitting upright on it’s charging base. However, this base does not cover the Form 2 and is not ideal if you have roommates or children who will see the Form 2. The lack of a cover also doesn’t shield the Form 2 from dust and lint in the air. Bummer. If you choose to store it on its base, be sure to rinse it well before each use to remove any dust and lint it picked up.

You can also store the Form 2 in your toy box or other toy storage method. It can fit well in a plastic bag or toy pouch if you prefer to keep it covered.

Packaging

The Form 2 comes packaged in a rectangular cardboard box. The box doesn’t have pictures of any naked people but it does have pictures of the Form 2 itself. It’s not discreet but it’s also not trashy. I would feel comfortable giving this as a gift.

Packaging

Inside of the box, the Form 2 is nestled in formed plastic with the magnetic charging base. Under the plastic is a small box containing electrical adapters for various countries. This is awesome if you’re a jetsetter who travels or someone who happens to live outside of the US. With this many adapters, your Form 2 can accompany your on all of your travels without causing any embarrassing mishaps like Ashton Kutcher in “Just Married.” I can’t be the only one who remembers how his character, Tom, plugs in his new “Thunderstick A200” and electrocutes himself while causing the entire village to lose power. Don’t be a Tom; use your adapters in foreign countries.

Personal comments

I’ve been lusting after the JimmyJane Form 2 since its release in 2009. I finally took the plunge and oh boy, I’m glad I did. Until now, I’ve been loyal to my We-Vibe Salsa. Since I’ve received my Form 2, I haven’t touched my Salsa. That’s not to say I don’t still love my Salsa but the Form 2 is giving it a run for its money. The two ears and the dual motor are really unique and make exploring a lot of fun. There are so many options for use! You can use this with your clitoris between the ears with the Form 2 held horizontally or vertically. You can also pinch the two ears together during use for an intense experience. Note: this has been said to trigger the glitch in some peoples Form 2. It does not in mine but be aware. I’ve discovered that my absolute favorite way to use this is on a steady pattern with it held at an angle. If you imagine a compass, the ears would be held NW and SE of my clitoris. From there, I slowly twist it until its completely vertical and twist it back to an angle. When I use my Salsa, I generally stick to the highest setting or the second highest setting. While it feels about as strong as the Salsa when you’re holding it, the dual motors in the Form 2 make it seem so powerful that I don’t even need to use this on its strongest setting. Imagine two small Salsas resting on either side of your clitoris. Yeah, that’s amazing. I haven’t used the Form 2 during intercourse very much because the body of the vibrator is a bit bulky to rest between my body and my partners in man-on-top postions. However, it does work well in rear-entry positions and woman-on-top positions.

Some people avoid the Form 2 because of the noise and the glitch but I say go for it. If you love clitoral vibes, it’s a must-have.

Awesome review! I'm still wary of getting one. I just can't decide. Some people said theirs didn't glitch til after using it a handful of times.
