The Luna Pleasure Bead System is a highly interchangeable set of vaginal balls. They can be used for foreplay arousal and/or kegel exercises. The system consists of 1 silicone girdle, 2 pink 1 oz. plastic balls and 2 blue 1.3 oz. plastic balls.

On each of the pink set and blue set of balls there's an attached string which can be guided through the silicone girdle. It could also be inserted by itself. Because the strings are attached to the balls themselves, there is even greater flexibility in weight choice. Therefore, weight choices include: 1 oz, 1.3 oz, 2 oz, 2.3 oz and 2.6 oz. The balls easily slip out of the girdle for quick changes and very easy clean up. The system could be easily used by someone looking to try kegel exercises for the first time, someone not sure what weight they're comfortable with or someone who wants the flexibility to increase difficulty without having to buy a new product. They can also be used comfortably for extended periods of time, either for exercise or as foreplay. Because they are quiet, they can easily be worn in public. I know whenever my husband knows I am wearing some, he likes to tickle me to make sure they're moving. I do not recommend this set for anal use. There is nothing flared about it, and I can easily imagine the string disappearing into a cavernous colon.

The Luna beads themselves are made of plastic with a seam around the center which cannot be felt either when inserted alone (use the bead with the attached string) or when inserted within the silicone girdle (the seam also helps keep them in place within the girdle). There is no noticeable smell to either the balls or the girdle. The balls are smooth plastic, while the girdle has that nice velvety smooth silicone feel (similar to the texture on the Gigi). The silicone/plastic combination makes the Luna beads easy to insert, although you could always put a bit of lube on them if you have trouble (non-silicone so you don't damage the girdle). Because the Luna beads are interchangeable, this set could work for both the beginner looking for their first set of beads or for someone more advanced.

The Luna Pleasure Bead System is highly adjustable for weight and size. I really appreciated the thought that went into constructing this system to be so interchangeable. You can use just one bead with a string, or make a combination in the girdle. I especially appreciated that the girdle was made of silicone so that it had a bit more give going in. The balls are small enough to be comfortable (I don't like anything with a circumference larger than 1.5") and the girdle fits easily without being too long. The retrieval string is also easily forgotten when being worn. The balls are constructed such that there is some movement while you're moving around (the more you move, the more they move), however unlike the previous set of ben wa balls I owned, you cannot hear them moving inside of you. The movement derives from a small weighted ball inside the plastic balls. This system could easily be packed into the patented Lelo pouch and put into a suitcase, and no one would know unless they opened the pouch. Even then, many people would still not know what they'd found, especially if disassembled.

The best part about this system is that you can adjust the weights. It is comfortable to wear and silent while being worn. That said, the motion of the balls is a little less than I am used to with my cheaper pair. You can still feel them, and it's still arousing, just not quite as much. If you are looking for a set of adjustable kegel exercisers I highly recommend this set. If your main objective is to get aroused, you need to keep looking.

The Luna Pleasure Bead System is easy to clean and store. It consists of 4 interchangeable plastic balls and 1 silicone girdle. EdenFantasys rates plastic 8/10, and the balls can be washed with antibacterial soap and water or with a toy cleaner. They are non-porous and phalate free. The girdle which holds two balls is made of silicone, rated 10/10 on EdenFantasys' safety scale. It could also be washed with antibacterial soap, a toy cleaner or even in the top shelf of the dishwasher (although I've only used soap and water). I store the entire set in the pouch provided by Lelo. It fits nicely and keeps them safe in my toy drawer. Because the girdle is silicone, you need to steer clear of silicone lubes unless you want to damage it. Therefore, even though the balls themselves are plastic, I still would advise you not to use silicone lube on them either if you plan for them to touch or be stored near the girdle.

The Luna Pleasure Bead System came in a box inside of a box. The outside box is paper and describes the system itself.

Inside the paper box, is the usual, very nice, black Lelo box (plain except for a darker black "Lelo" on the top). Within that box is a tray holding the set.

Below that tray lie the instructions, warranty information and a packet of personal moisturizer.

I was really excited to replace my cheap ben wa balls with a much nicer set from Lelo, especially since I liked my Gigi so much. I have not been disappointed. This set is much much nicer than my previous set, and definitely easier to clean and made of safer materials. I expected to need to start with a single 1 oz. ball and work my way up. I am not sure if my old set was heavier (I've since misplaced them), or if I just have really strong muscles, but I was able to immediately use both of the heaviest balls with no problem (disclaimer- I have not had children). As I continued to wear them, I did notice that the movement caused my muscles to pay attention, and I plan to use them fairly regularly to make sure I keep strong muscles. They had me slightly aroused as well, but not quite as much as my old set did. Overall, I overwhelmingly recommend them to anyone looking to strengthen their muscles, and cite the arousal as more of a slight benefit for this system.
