I Felt Nothing From These Nubs
The Power G tries to be revolutionary with its electric power cord but fails at being more than a pale imitation of other toys. Although easy to use, there are similar toys which are higher quality, quieter, waterproof and more anatomically conscientious than this one.

Pros
Angled head, easy to hold/use, several levels of vibration, soft material, doesn't require batteries
Cons
Limited by cord, Porous TPR collects lint, effect of nubs is minute, have to be careful when washing
The Power G by California Exotic is my first foray into the "Nubby G" style vibrators. I was intrigued at the stimulation that the nubby ring at the base of this toy might add, in addition to vibrations for the G-spot and hoped it would reach my clitoris as well.
Made of translucent pink, TPR, the Power G looks not different than a dozen similar models and is compatible with both water and silicone based lubricants. It shouldn't be swapped between holes or partners without a condom because it's non-porous. It has quite some give when squeezed and the angled G-spot tip can even be bent to touch the nubby ring. The head is angled at about 35 degrees for G-spot stimulation and about 3.5" can be inserted but, if you were to force the shaft to be relatively straight, it's more like 4". The Power G is what many would consider a small-medium sized toy with a diameter of 1.43" through-ought most of the shaft. That diameter is slightly larger than listed on the product page but, with preparation (lube!), I think this soft toy could be used by some beginners.
The nubby ring is what I would consider "eye" shaped, if looking at it from the top. It's longer than it is wide, the two furthest points extending almost .75" from the shaft. On the sides, the ring extends less than .5" to the end of the nubs. There are two parallel rows of 16 nubs for a total of 32 nubs, that extend straight out from the ring. They are all quite soft, not painful at all like some nubs can be.
There is a jumbo bullet located just below the head of this toy, perhaps for G-spot stimulation. It is controlled by a dial on the base of the toy which is labeled "Low, Medium, and High" with a directional arrow but the dial control means several more levels can be found. It's a cinch to use. The vibrations are more on the buzzy side, than the throbbing side, but I found that they went plenty high enough to make me squirt. And squirt I did.
Unfortunately, this pink toy is quite loud for the strength of its vibrations. It could definitely be heard through a door but should be safe with some white noise in the background.
In practice, the nubby ring did little at all. It is wide enough that it didn't nestle well between my lips; rather, it stayed above them. Plus, the longer points in font and back didn't reach any particular spot. My clit was sadly forgotten. I tried to enjoy the nubs on the Power G as general vulva stimulation but, when fully inserted, the vibrations were subdued to the point of non-existance (by my muscles). I could angle the toward forward so just the tip penetrated me and the ring touched my clit but there just wasn't enough area on the nubby ring for pressure the way I like it (and my G-spot wasn't getting quite as much vibration as it needs).
Because the nubby ridge is slightly flared, it could potentially be used anally but as that is not the intent, I would only do so with caution. I do like the how it provides several inches to hold at the base of the toy and it's not as bulky or awkward as the based of rabbit toys. The ridges on the dial also add a bit of texture which can aid in gripping. The Power G can easily be used by just about anyone within arm's length.
I can't say that I feel strongly about this toy being electric. I feel like if it needs an adapter, it might as well be rechargeable. I don't need yet another adapter but CEN made sure the cord is long enough. My tape measure ends at 5"; the cord does not. Although I could feel the cord during use, it never got in my way. The cord plugs into a port which is actually on the side of the plastic base of the toy (right above the dial). This is kind of awkward because I have to hold my finger over the hole when washing (and soap and water cleaning is a must because the TPR collect lints). I wish there was a little plastic cover to make this easier. It would help slightly if the hole were on the very bottom of the toy, too. Honestly, anything CEN could do to make this vibrator at least water resistant would be a plus for us squirters.
I didn't really need another vibrator that only makes me squirt. The nubs on this toy just didn't offer anything extra for me. It will likely drift to the bottom of my toy box.

Thank you for viewing Power G – g-spot vibrator review page!
Michele - I agree. Maybe if they were perpendicular from the ridge, pointing down? But even then, I couldn't feel the vibrations thruogh them.
Mistress Kay - I was indeed worried what with squirting and all. It turned out to be okay but just not what I prefer.
Thanks Lauren
