The Diamond G would be so much better if it were a larger scale of itself. The other issue is its pointy tip. It's supposed to be used for hitting the g-spot, but I find myself not wanting to insert this at all. Instead, flip it around and use the rounded end to tease the clit!

Pros
Cute, Steady/strong vibes for a small toy
Cons
Loud, Too pointy, Doesn't work for my g-spot, Didn't always work right
The Diamond G is a stylish and compact vibrator with multiple vibrations settings and patterns. It's easy to use and can be used in a few different ways, some better than others, however. The Diamond G is described as a g-spot vibrator, but I've found that it's too short to work that way for many. For me, the tip is a bit too pointy to provide g-spot pleasure. I prefer to use it for clitoral pleasure by turning the toy around. Used this way it can be used pretty much on any area of the body since the other side is smooth and rounded. For the size, the noise level is kind of high, so I wouldn't recommend it for people who need whisper quiet toys. I also can't recommend it to women who need power house vibes. It's about average. But for the price, it's a decent looking and feeling toy.
The Diamond G is made of plastic. It also has rhinestones in the side of the plastic. Plastic is a level 8 on Eden's material safety scale. It is hypo-allergenic and free of both latex and phthalates. This particular plastic has a silky velvety finish. It's easier to hold when lubed up. While plastic is non-porous, it cannot be sterilized for sharing, so keep this in mind if that's an intent of yours. It doesn't work so well with a condom since it is a small toy. This toy has no odor or taste.
The Diamond G looks like a mini version of a g-spot toy. It would be excellent if it were on a larger scale! It's a bit too small. Only about 4 1/8" in total length, means there isn't a lot for insertion. 2 5/8" is all there is for that. That's hardly enough for most women. The head is about 1 1/4" across at the widest point where it curves and comes to a harsh point. This diameter might be enough for some women, but it doesn't stay this thick. Right below that it dips in to 7/8" in diameter which is less than 3 1/4" in circumference. It bulges out again to be 1 1/8", 3 3/4" in circumference.
Right below that fuller area is a silver band. This is where the toy twists and the bottom comes off. Inside two AAA batteries get inserted. On the battery housing are size embedded rhinestones in a crescent. They help the user grip the toy when it is lubed up as well as looking pretty at the same time. The bottom has a single push button for power.
This toy is discreet because of its size and dark color. If left on a night stand its purpose would be fairly obvious, however. It's good for travel because of its size.
To power the toy simply press the button on the base. It will start the toy on the first of three vibration levels.
1. The first level is a steady vibration that is medium-high in intensity. It's probably enough for the average woman, and is certainly enough for my clit. The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire vibrator but are concentrated in the top inch. The noise level is fairly high and probably can be heard through your door if the toy is not inserted or there is no ambient noise in the background.
2. The next level is at the same intensity as the first, but this time it pulses really fast. It's just as loud as #1, if not louder and more noticeable through a door. This setting is great for teasing and getting a fast build up.
3. This setting is much like #2, but it has a longer pulse before faster ones. This is the best for teasing since it has the extended vibrations and then short pulses. The longer pulse is more intense than the shorter two. It's also as loud as the other settings.
This toy is waterproof, but due to my issues with the battery compartment, which I'll get to later, I did not try this in the tub or shower.
This toy is very easy to care for. To clean it wash it in hot water and anti-bacterial soap or simply wipe it down with a toy cleaner or toy wipe. It can be used with any kind of lubricant too. Let it dry and remove the batteries before storing. It can be stored without its package since it doesn't melt like jelly materials do. Keep it in a cool and dry place.
The packaging is pretty typical of California Exotic. It comes in a plastic clam shell package that is thankfully not TOO much larger than the toy itself. It's clear so it shows all of the toy. There is a cardboard insert that has a picture of a blonde woman in a corset on it. Her corset matches the toy perfectly with its black satin and crystal rhinestones. It's always fun to match your toys to your lingerie, no? The back has basic information about the toy and the company.
I really don't enjoy using this toy as intended. It's supposed to be inserted to hit the g-spot, but I found this highly uncomfortable. It's much better if I turn the toy around and use the rounded side to tease my clit. The other side is way to pointy and I don't feel the vibrations as well that way. Used this way, the Diamond G is a pretty good clitoral vibrator. I have no problem finishing from it quickly. My biggest issue with the toy isn't the shape, however, it's the batter compartment. If the compartment is too tight or too lose, it might not stay on. At times I couldn't get the toy to turn on. I'd have to remove the batteries and start again to try to get the contacts lined up right. Once I did the toy wouldn't shut off, but it sometimes took a few tries to get it in the right position. I don't like to have to work at getting my toys to work...
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it2 months after original review
This toy never did much for me and quit working, so it was held onto for very long. I have not had much trouble with toys from this company, so ti won't deter me from trying more.
