Great If You Can Make It Work
For the price, this is a lovely piece, however, the sizing runs a bit small and the zipper doesn't like to stay zipped which makes it pretty much impossible to wear.

Pros
Looks nice, 6 adjustable straps, price
Cons
major design flaw with zipper, sizing
I really wanted to like this garter belt by Coquette and in some ways its’ not bad but it has what I consider to be a fairly major design flaw.
The belt itself is lovely, the satin is shiny and the rhinestone zipper is great for just a touch of bling. It has 6 adjustable garters for a nice secure fit. The hook and eye closure in the back is great, mainly because I feel like this runs a little small. I found it was too small to fit around the widest part of my body, which is the hard thing about buying items that are sized with a slash, in this case 1x/2x. I would have been served much better with a 3x/4x which I find is often true of Coquette items even though I am not normally a 3x/4x.
In any event, I added a 3 hook, black, bra extender and viola! It fit! So that problem was easy enough to solve but then I ran into the major design flaw of this piece. For getting it on and off, it’s actually pretty cool that the zipper down the front works. However, there is no hook or button or catch of any kind to keep the zipper from popping open…so it does…frequently.
I actually haven’t worn this garter belt anywhere because I haven’t figured out a way to keep the zipper from popping open every time I bend or sit. This is obviously a problem. If they put in a little hook and eye or hook and loop like you often see in zippered dresses then it would probably work just fine but as is, I can’t keep it from unzipping. And it doesn’t just unzip a little, it unzips all the way and the zipper is kind of tough to work because of the rhinestone design so it just turns into an exercise in frustration.
So, if you can make the zipper and sizing to work for you, then this is a great piece. It’s cute and sexy and has a nice burlesque feel to it. I just can’t personally get past the design flaw to actually wear it.

Thanks for the review! I enjoyed reading it.

What about putting a small safety pin through the zipper and fabric? If you hook it through the end of the zipper, the safety pin will keep it from sliding down too far.
