Good, but not GREAT

If you are looking for an affordable, quality toy I would recommend the Symphony Minuet. While it may be better suited for beginners, it is still a great toy. The only bad thing I can really say about it, is that I wish it packed just a little more punch.

Use

I didn't think Symphony Minuet was anything "mind blowing". It would be a good beginner toy for someone who is new to toys or maybe for someone who does not need strong vibrations. In my opinion it would be best used vaginally or for clitoral stimulation (if the weaker vibrations work for you). It is waterproof so you can take this along with you in the shower. Because it is a little noisy I don't think this would be good for dorm living or other situations where you would have to worry about being overheard. Using a condom would be a good idea if you are planning on sharing with a non-fluid bonded partner.

Material / Texture

The Symphony Minuet is made out of TPR. It does give off a faint chemical scent, but not strong enough that it bothered me personally. The material is firm, but flexible, soft to the touch and will glide easily over the skin with a little lubricant. It's also phthalate free, latex free and hyo-allergenic. It features ridges that give a 'wavey' appearance, but can't say these really did much for me.

Design / Shape / Size

Design wise the ridges along the insertable part didn't really do much for me. The size in my opinion is not intimidating at all, as it is not to big and not to small. Size wise it could be carried in a handbag if you wanted to carry it along or tossed in a drawer for discretion. It's 8 1/4" long, 6" insertable, 4 3/4" circumference, and 1 1/2" in diameter. It has a straight shaft with some textured bumps added to the underside right below the ridge of the top/head, with the controls at the bottom where your hand would grasp. The base has a screw off battery cap with a waterproof ring, so waterplay won't damage the toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

It's controlled by a push button on the base of the toy which is pretty easy to use. I did find it was a little too easy to bump this button in the middle of play, which can be more than a bit annoying. It has 3 different speeds - the highest I wouldn't consider a very STRONG vibration. If you need the stronger vibrations, I wouldn't recommend this toy to you. It produces more buzzy vibrations than deep rumbly ones. This toy is waterproof. I have taken this one along in the shower quite a bit and it has held up very well. It runs on 2 AA batteries which tend to last a fairly long time for me. I wouldn't say it is whisper quiet, but it couldn't be heard through a door or over the shower noise.

Care and Maintenance

Clean up and care are pretty easy. It's made out of TPR so warm water and soap or your favorite toy cleaner will work fine. It's waterproof so no need to worry about causing damage while cleaning. Water or silicone lube will work with this toy. It does seem to collect fuzzies so I would recommend cleaning before and after each use.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

It came in its own niffty tin/box that can be used to store it in - which I love. The tin isn't really all that discreet as it features a cut out in the front so you can see the toy when in it. I love the boxes evolved packages their toys in and the fact that they come with their own unique looking storage containers. No instructions were included, but there is some minimal information on the tin.
    • Good for storage

Personal comments

I would prefer that the toy had a little more power behind it. I usually prefer stronger, deeper vibrations.

Thanks for the good review. I like the idea of tin boxes that some toys come in, I just haven't gotten any tins yet.

    Great job

I love the Evolved tins. I have two so far and it was actually half the reason I bought the toys....hehehe.
I'm not totally sure what to do with them yet, but I can't bring myself to throw them out. Perhaps my lube samples I'm collecting will go well in one.

Aw! Too bad about the vibrations. I like to have the option to have a pretty strong vibration. I really love the look of this toy and it's very tempting! I'm going to add to my wish list after reading your review, but will certainly give it some thought before purchasing since I'm not sure if the vibrations would be strong enough for me. I'm a bit picky with that. Lol Anyways, you done a great job on the review! 'll have to stick around to read more of yours.
