From a tingle to a zap, it gives what you want!
In all, because of the poor packaging and sad instructions, I can't give the Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy System any more than a 4-star rating. If the manufacturer were to improve on these two major flaws, I'd certainly give a 5-star rating for all the help and stimulation that this tiny unit has given me!
Published:
Pros
Easy to use, interchangeable with other e-stim pieces, long battery life
Cons
Poor instructions, self-training, no explanation of all 4 pads needing to be used
The Shock Therapy system is an affordable TENS-style electrostimulation unit. Originally, I did not purchase this item for sexual stimulation, but rather due to a recent accident and my only relief coming during repeated daily visits to my chiropractor for e-stim sessions on my shoulders and lower back. I would have tried anything or paid any price for relief, but in reality, I had very limited funds at the time and had to "make do" with what I could find for a lesser price.
My choice of this unit wasn't in vain! Although the unit only uses AAA batteries, it was stunningly powerful... giving the same type of stimulation as the levels I was using at my chiropractic office. While it won't go as powerful as their professional units, most people can't handle the e-stim as powerful as this tiny, handheld unit can go as it is, much less any more.
The Shock Therapy unit has multiple settings, both in intensity and speed, as well as different patterns of pulsation. The off and on power buttons double as your speed controls, the off button lowering the power levels, and the on button raising the power. I found 10 different amplitude levels, but with merely using the unit for pain relief, rarely ever got over the 4th speed, as anything higher was too much stimuli for me. The upper middle button controlled the pattern of the current, or "mode" as it states on the unit, while the lower button controlled the pulse duration, long or short, quick or slow. It took a LONG time to actually figure out exactly how the unit worked, as the "instructions" for the item were vague images and Chinese writing. On a personal note - I sure hope that they've updated this, or at least written it in English by now - I'm on my second electrical unit now (due to accidental water damage), but it had the same instructions that the first contained, sadly.
Back to the toy - so long as all four pads are securely adhered to the skin, the unit functions at full capacity - but fair warning, if any of the four adhesive electrodes are lifted or not secure, the power will not flow properly, as you're not making a solid connection for the electrical currents to work properly and you will wind up getting zapped pretty powerfully, and sharp, like a painfully snapped rubber band. This is an easy fix, however... if the electrode pads become dry and non-sticky or begin to lift from the skin, you can add e-stim gel (sold separately) to create the right conditions for the current to pass into the body again. I would also suggest that you use gel specifically created for e-stim, as well, as most of these gels are very thick, quite sticky, but water-based and pH-neutral, so that you're not damaging the pads, either. While they are replaceable, they should last a very long time. With my second unit now (in the travel kit), I've never had to replace the connecting wires nor the pads and actually didn't toss the first ones until long after purchasing the second unit... I simply kept them clean by continually wiping them down after each use to remove the excess e-stim gel, re-stuck them to the tiny plastic sheets they come with until I lost a couple, and then later stuck them to the clear lid of the cheap molded plastic box insert (which seems to be the only logical storage method for this item). With the second unit I purchased, I put some thick plastic sheets in a ziploc freezer bag and that seemed to work a lot better and kept things more organized.
The way that electro-stimulation and TENS works is that an electrical current is discharged through the wires. This current stimulates muscles to contract and flex and nerves to be stimulated in a manner similar to the electrical impulses that your brain naturally produces in order to provide the proper stimulation that is either pleasurable or painful, depending on how low or how high you choose to run your shocking plaything.
The unit is virtually silent - no, it's REALLY silent! Thankfully, you can also purchase different pieces (both in this line and other jack-pin style e-stim units) that will fit the system, so you can have a lot more sexy-time fun than medicinal gain!

Experience
With my back pain, I ignored the "Five body zones" that the Fetish Fantasy packaging boasted and instead, placed the unit in the same positioning as with my chiropractic care, per the suggestion of the doctor. With the lower back pain (sciatica), I was able to position the pads in two main positions that would alleviate the pain temporarily - each way with two left, staggered, and two right - mirroring the others in an upside-down trapezoid-type shape. The first positioning was at the outer edges of my hips, just above my panty-line, the other was close together, several inches from my spine. The third positioning was staggered in a parallelogram-type shape on my left shoulder, between the socket and my spine. These worked AMAZINGLY for the whiplash/seat belt injuries I incurred, as well as the pinched sciatic nerve. In combination with stretching, I could sometimes go a full 24 hours without having any pain (and in the beginning, it alleviated a lot of pain - enough to make it manageable until the healing process really kicked in!).

I am sorry to hear of your accident and painful recovery! What a wonderful surprise that this item worked so well! I know actual medical grade TENS units are more expensive and having this work just as well for you while being so much more affordable, is great for others to know about, thanks! If I had any more nominations left, I'd nominate this for the rumble!
