Fantastic First Toy
It's a great first toy with a simple design, a wide range of vibrations, and a reasonable price. Simple to clean and simple to use, Play Allure by Durex is a good start for those interested in the wonderful world of sex toys.

This was the first toy I ever bought, and I'm surprised how good it's been to me! I've had it for over a year now and I'm just now getting a replacement. It's sleek and non threatening, and has an over all smooth design. The battery chamber can be reached by unscrewing the bottom (not the ring) clockwise which holds 1 AA battery (included with toy). It also comes with a purple satin draw-string pouch, which keeps it clean and protected if you need to squirrel it away.
As for actual use, it has a purple ring at the base which you turn counter-clockwise to gradually increase vibrations. It's waterproof, which meant I could use it in the shower or just dunk it in some warm soapy water to clean it (I advise you to unscrew the bottom tip as you would to access the battery and clean out the rubber seal every once in a while) . The material is a non-porous hard plastic, not silicone, so you're able to use any sort of lubrication with it. My only concern with it was that if your hands are covered in lube, it's hard to turn the dial, and that on its high settings it's quite loud! Seeing as it's a traditional vibrator, it can be used for vaginal penetration (it's just long enough to stimulate the g spot if you angle it right) or simply for clitoral play (I however would advise against anal play as it has no flared base and can be hard to grip). Or you can forgo the vibrations and just use it as a simple dildo if you're not sure you're ready to level up quite yet.
Over all it's a great beginner toy, and even as I upgrade and expand my collection, I'll still keep this one for the odd time when I need my white knight.
